I know this song has been overplayed over the years but I haven't got anything else ready to post at the moment so this it'll have to do for now.

If you find the time to listen feel free to comment anyhow I'm always interested in other music lovers opinions.

Oh, stick yer neck back in...no worries, fret.

I didn't get all the words. Sounds kinda spacey-spooky for a holiday type of tune. Interesting approach to the entire idea, very unique, & I like it. Don't expect it to become the next Xmas classic, though. It just ain't that catchy.

Kinda preachy for me, but it's inherent in the idea, & I get it.

Yeah Philby I agree with your assessment that’s the very reason why I was reluctant to post the preaching lyrics don't work, the last thing I want do is preach in a song, but for this one for lack of imagination I ended up doing just that.

No is not going to be a Christmas carol for sure coz it has two strikes against it the somber feel and the lyrics.
I should have kept this one in the closet, it will be replaced soon with a more conventional tune maybe a cover to be safe.

Guitar George 8)
Enjoyable, despite sounding like you were playing from the bottom of a very deep well.

Hey FW,

Yeah , I like the arr.Vocals were buried in the mix ailttle.I threw it up in adobe and did a feq analysis and dropped 160-200-250 HZ , then boosted 800-100-1.5HZ-then boosted 4-5-6.3-8KHZ and it sounds MUCH better. You can hear the vocals better and it cleans up the muddy bass feq causing the "down in the barrel" like tone , brings the vocal ans gtr out front a bit more.Tha 200-250 HZ will kill ya everytime.. Good job on the lead gtr!

Hey Sans & KIDD thanks for listening and your comments, I have to learn to get the best out of my recording equipment, I've been spoiled playing live not worrying about sounds because of the sound man at the mixer board taking care of that, for years I only had to learn my guitar parts, now that I'm doing my own recordings I find myself handicapped in the recording aspect. One of these days I'll have to invest some time and experiment.

KIDD I wish you had posted the improved version of the song you got from your adobe, it would have giving me a target to shoot for.

Thanks guys.

this is very nice. i like the vocals.

the recording being muffled has a certain endearing quality, in my opinion.
