Crap man, what did you reach into a moving machine for? :(
I hope all things work out for the best. Be very aware of the possability of secondary infection to the wounds. Can be very dangerous with that type of traumatic injury. (sorry the RN just sneaks out of me now and again)
Had a wedding band get hung in a guard once. I no longer wear ANY jewelry.
I have had to pick up body parts before for people who reached into moving machines while working in the oil patch.
Turn it off :!: Lock it out :!: :!:
It only takes once guys.

Knukledragger, so sorry to hear that, my biggest fear also. I have been a carpenter for almost as long as I have played music, fiddle first and then guitar, working around all the saws shapers and nail guns, It has become second nature for me to be careful of my hands. Thank God I am left handed actually I play guitar right handed putting my better left hand on the fretboard and can hold a hammer in either hand and drive a nail but I favor nailing with my left hand that way if I miss I am beating the hell out of my right (picking hand) LOL we use nail guns most of the time, I have driven a few nails thru my right hand with nail guns in the past (LOL ouch)!
Man I pray your hand heals and you are able to continue playing hang in their bro!!!!!! and please keep us posted on your progress.

Oh and a few words of encouragement Tonni Iomii had a similar accident and lost the tips of three of his fingers and he uses plastic extensions and all this before he ever made it in music and listen to him play now he singlehandedly created heavy metal music (Black Sabbath)

A friend of mine, Eddy, lost the tip of his left middle finger.
He strung his guitar backwards, and learned to play it the other way . . .
.
I picked up his guitar, and I could form a C, D, and a G ok . . . took a while . . .

Hey, Knuckledragger, I've gotta look closer at these posts . . .
I just saw you're from CT, and then I saw Clinton - 1 town over from me.
Yeah we got a couple night-time snowstorms; both Friday and Sunday.
I can understand your being tired, if you were plowing all night long; I've done it, myself.
And then when you get home, half asleep - what the heck - might as well do your own drive way, just one last drive way . . . right?
Crap.
I hope all your Doctors know how much music means to you . . .
.
What bar-band got busted?
.
Best wishes . . .
Alan

The drummer that we found through Band-Mix unfourtanitly moved south. (Happy to say, he already contacted a new band through his Band-Mix profile, and has gigs lined up!)

What does this have to do with "Knuckledragger's" thread, you might ask?

When good ol' "ProChops" packed his traps and moved south, he bestowed upon me his big ol' friggin' sno-blower, that he would no longer have use for. Thanks to this thread, I am somewhat apprehensive about useing it! (never had any misfortunes with my table saw, planer, joiner, router, grinder, band saw, sawzall, ect ect. , but I did take a dive off the ladder last summer! )

Hang in there, Knuckledragger, odds are you,ll be back better then ever!

happy new year! :D
