Thanks Pete. The problem is actually in the silver aluminum center cone right over the voicecoil. I forgot how delicate they are and while cleaning it (after 15 years or so) put a dent in it, now theres a hole and a tear.. uhhh... Probly have to send it to JBL. I talked a JBL guy a while back and they still fix these, he has one in his 'collection' heh. Probly time to replace instead of repair but I like the sound, so I'll probably keep it. I think they can remagnetize it too.. expensive shipping tho.. the sucker's heavy. I'll keep your color selection in mind for any future repairs
I like the ti**y pink. :D

Ha Ha,
That reminds me of the awesome 10' Alec Lansings I had loaded in my ol' Fender Super Reverb Amp. When my boys were little, one of them was curious about that silver high frequency center cones and decided to poke a dent in one of them! (never found out which one did it,but it doesnt mater any more 'cause any one of them could beat my decrepit ol' ass.

Back on topic,
I decided to give up my previous wish for a Steinway Grand, and settle for a new high E string for my ol' Fender Mustang. (I broke it while rockin' out on "Rockey Raccoon" for the grandchillin')

anyways,
Peace on Earth, Good Will Toward Man (and Wimmin's  )

Well since the price roof-top has been completely torn off and shredded, I might wish for 40 Marshall stacks, a complete state-of-the art-recording-studio, salary for the best mix-ologist in the industry (both sound and cocktails) a Lamroghini, A/C Cobra (original) Martin 12 strings, a Gibson SG Special and Custom, A concert PA system, several multi-watt laser-shows, and peace on earth, goodwill, joy for everyone and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Great New Year to All!
