That's the bestest! Creating something to enhance the work of another is 2nd only to creating everything yourself. This sounds like it could be something absolutely great for you Kramer. Hope it's as good as it sounds to me.
I did some stuff on mandolin in the studio for a guy's song once. Later on, I heard him playing with another band, & the lead guitarist was playing my licks from the mandolin part. It was neat, & I felt like I'd done something sorta semi-permanent, at the very least.
