Yeah , It 6;10 PM EDT now, Yeah , The normal Rt to MD would not have him coming though my place BUT, He never said what Rt he was takin. You COULD come this way but damn, it'd be rough .SO.. He'll prolly be gettin Philbys but outta bed.. ..Yeah , JW, Id say he's long passed you by now.

Just spoke to him. He's in Memphis, & it's just after 6PM EST.

Everything's looking okay for him so far, except that the place he had to stay ain't gonna be accomodating, as the relative he was gonna stay with is in the hospital.

He'll be calling ya, JW.

Just an update on Paleopetes travels

Philbymon relayed my phone number to Bill. He called around 6pm CST last night and around 6:30 he was at my house. We sat around for 4 hours talking guitars amps music and for the last hour Bill gave me a guitar lesson in Open G tuning. I sat in awe as Bill played my acoustic Washburn. And I have to say publically that that guitar has never sounded so good. I had to leave early this morning to take my daughter to school. Bill and I had coffee and he headed out around 6:30 am headed east. I want to thank bandmix and philby for helping Bill out in his travels. He was one of the finest gentlemen Ive ever met and is a an awesome guitarist who really opened my eyes to some things that I ussually dont think about.

I wish Bill luck in his travels and the band that he is going to work with.

I would also like to say to others on here to open your hearts and homes up to people who need a little help on their way. You just might learn something.

Philby make sure you have a few hours to talk music. Bill is a virtual encyclopedia on music. Get him to get out an acoustic and play some "ZEP" in that open g tuning. Its a real eye opener, even if it is "ZEP".

Philby have a good visit, Bill is a great guy who Ive conversed with over this site for the last couple of years with. He is a monster guitar player, so you guys have fun.

Its 9:47PM EDT THUR and Bill just left here (charleston).We had a nice visit talking computers and music. My studio computer has a virus to which Bill was kind enough to trouble shoot and got it to quit suckin CPU so I can record.HOOORAYYY!!!!THEN , we had a little time to jam some 12 bar blues and Bad Co. Yeah Joesph, he's headin to Belington WV. tonite.
He'll be catchin up with Philby lFRI evening Im assuming.Yeah, I thought he'd be on 81 outta Bristol so I was kinda surprised to hear he'd be pasin through.Really glad he did.

Well, shoot. If he's going in Phil's direction tomorrow, I couldn't catch him anyway...gotta work all day, and that's a good four hour trip from here. Too bad-I have some studio time scheduled Sat., and would have loved to have him lay down a track or two. Maybe next time.

We'll have to wait on a confirmation from Philby about his ETA into Hedgesville. It was kinda unclear to me how long he was gonna spend in Belington.If he spends the nite there FRI, you guys might could link up.

OK It's 2:45AM EST and I'm in Belington for the night. (Thursday night/Friday wee hours) Will be pulling out some time tomorrow morning, after I get some sleep. it's been a long day.

Joseph, sorry I didn't realize you were on the way too, could have stopped, I saw the sign for your town on the way here, passed through around 11- 11:30 PM. I guess it won't happen tomorrow since you'll be at work. I told Kidd there was someone else and I couldn't think of who it was, who I thought was along this route.

I went this route partially because I was staying in Belington and partially to skirt around the mountains as much as possible.

JW it was a blast, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, thank you ever so much for your hospitality.

Philby I'll be through there sometime tomorrow and will give you a call when I get to your neck o' the woods.

Kidd, I enjoyed the visit, glad the computer seems to be working well, I wasn't sure if I could find the pesky little critter or not. Next trip through I'll try to stop and visit you and JW again, but I have no idea when that may be.

I'm outta here, it's been a long day, been on the road since before 7, I'm more than ready to grab a few ZZZZZZZZ's...

No sweat, man. Maybe we'll get another chance sometime...enjoy your trip...be sure to take in some of the scenery in Phil's area...absolutely beautiful.
