J Hayley asked me to go and check out his profile:

Just listening to 'Beyond Blue' as I write now... a smooth flowing clear open sound.
I love it... am carried along by it, must be great live.
I feel really taken by those layers of voices behind the girl's voice singing the line beyond blue.
Particulary special and refreshing are those breaks back to just a running drum with rim shots and melodious piano... and suddenly here at the end the girl cuts in again just to finish.

Yes Mr Hayley, your music is even more beautiful, than your words were hurtful!
Seriously, I am into the second song now 'Solitude'; not as layered and peaceful despite its name, but a good running energy.

And I wasn't needing kind words in saying your words were hurtful: in England we thrive on being told to f**k off and think no worse for it! I prefer it to being ignorred!
I feel honoured to be told to f**k off by a really good musician!

Cheers from an East Atlantic Atheist,
Mark...................

I did not take offense Mark. I do feel you have been unduly mislead about the statistics of crime but hell how could you not be living in merry ol Engalnd.
Cheers and peace.
PS. I wont lay down another guitar track for the lead you disliked. However as my skills improve so will all my leads None of our music is set in stone. We are a work in progress. May it always be so.

Well, hay-ull, man! No WONDER we're confused. If'm yer a-gonna speak Enkrich, stick with it man. We ain't Canuckians - so we won't get the fancy Frenchy references to soft-soul shoe-typical name bases.

Um...Bob? There are several religions that could easily claim to have given the world the concept of "one god," & most of them are aboriginal. Christians claim this all too often for their very own, on the one hand, while praying to the holy trinity, on the other. Cracks me up, it does. Different aspects of the "one god" is nothing new. Native American, Meso- & South American, even Santeria & "Voo-doo" & some of the African & Australian Aboriginal religions all have this in common.

Mark - you don't necessarilly hafta be of Jewish blood to be Jewish, but I'd bet you know that. Sammy Davis, Jr was a convert.

J-H, don't getcher feathers rustled up. It ain't no big thang. The man obviously meant no offense, in fact, I saw it as praise.

sans-George - does that mean "without George?" - didja get anything of interest in the mail recently?

Yep, things are tense all over, ain't they? Well, a fine Xmas to one & all, anyway (even if I ain't a Christian)!

Hello Philbimon and Sanshouheil,
And one day I hope I learn if Sanshouheil is French or perhaps Deutsch connection... ich kann ein bischon deutsch zu spreche, aber nicht zu viele!
It seems to be 'all quiet on the western front' again, so I am listening to songs by Andragon; really nice stuff there.
I look forward to building a little studio in my workshop and at last I have aquired a drum kit, so no more dining room table recordings as it has all been so far.
I listened again Noisy Kung Fu to that track I didn't like the lead guitar in; it struck me as sounding so unsure and unhappy with itself the first time I heard it, but now I am coming to like its rather chancy manner and the lead melody seems to be saying, "look we are all searching for something"... hang on, there's a bit I want to check again!

I've always wondered what his nickname meant too.. I figured it had to do with martial arts. Now the mystery has been unveiled.

Born Jewish? Born Christian? Born eskino? Born whatever? We are all homo sapiens. There's no difference between any of us really. I can prove it in a few minutes. Do you like good food? (I do). Do you like good sex? (I do). Do you like good music? (I do). I'm sure that all of you answered these questions in the affirmative. That means we're all THE SAME. Now we can get back to the business at hand, THE MUSIC BUSINESS, and stop this irrelevant and uselss trivial arguing. Later...

Bob,
Technically, were all Homo Sapiens Sapiens when it comes down to "Animal Systematics". (Just remember not to call any of the patrons of The Tannersville Inn that term If you ever get a gig there! )

Mark,
I often call "OL Shoeleather" just plain "George"
I still refer to "Tracey" as "Greenie"
You can call me "John" if you wanna. (don't know of any Pauls or Ringoes, or Luke or Mathews on the forum as yet)

Just for the record, I'm a certified, baptised, non-practicing Lutheran.
I am also an agnostic. Not the kind of agnostic that believes that God is unknowable, but rather the kind that believes we just don't really know him yet. (Maby we will understand Him better when those folks over at CERN get their Large Hadron Collider back up and runnin') Philosophically, I tend to think somewhat like a "Positivist"

later,
Howlin'
