General Music Chat

So I'm making DVDs and CDs for "fans" that ordered them from me. I go to test them and songs that are in videos and the songs that I made the videos with both have tracks missing. Like my song w/ Jimmy Danger has the whole solo missing. I don't think I ever even owned a version without the solo!?!?!?!?. Another song is a cover of "for no one" everything but the vox and bass are gone?! These vids are posted to my youtube account and have all the parts there. That means that I had them complete when I uploaded them. But now when I burn them as a .wav to a DVD the parts are missing. I am baffled by these digital gremlins. And pisssed!!

Burn at the second lowest speed x4 or x8, depending on what kinda CD/DVDROM you got. How many times have you failed to burn it correctly?

Are they 16 bit 44/100 WAV format files?..Yep, I just went through the same thing ..I was tryin to burn 32 bit WAVs. Check that first.

PS...OHHH , I didnt read the fine print....You said DVD...My info prolly doesnt help then

OK now this IS crazy. The mp3 of "nothing but wrong" is missing the solo on my computer, on my bandmix profile, AND on Jimmy danger's profile!!??! Please somebody listen to the song on our profiles and see if the solo is there.

Man...Hmmm.Heres what IM hearing..First off, YES, on both PFs , the lead is there.NOW, whats weird is the lead is cleaner and out in front of the mix more on Jimmys PF???...Your PF is tellin me that the lead could stand to come up in DB more...IS there 2 or more diff mixes? Were they saved at the same bit rate..Yeah , I toggled back and forth and thats what Im hearing?.. Explain!!!

Hey, after listening a few more times, Im not so sure about there being a DB diff?..You know how your ears get after listening to mixes over and over BUT, Im gonna wait an HR or so and listen again with fresh ears.

Hey Neanderpaul on some converters music browsers there is a feature called “remove vocals”. People use it to learn leads and vocal lines. It removes anything recorded panned at 0 degrees, so if the lead was recorded dead center front... And maybe it went unnoticed, when doing a remix or adjustment? Just trying to help find the cause.. 2:04 I hear the solo on your BM profile.

I think it was my imagination ..Both leads are the same Db level.

I had to run over to My Documents to be sure my copy wasnt F'ed up'.
Whew, its safe.
