sorry but yes, I'm a musician who actually likes sports. (actually more of a team fan than a sport fan)

I've been thinking of having chat guests for the first hour, then just musicians for an online solo jamm session and maybe some kind of musicians workshop like lalong touched on.

what do you think of that idea???

I think maybe some of you folks may be missing out just because of the unknown advantages of this. If you already know, then just disregard this. I have used a few internet communications programs in the past icq, teamspeak, ventrilo etc.

The yahoo is nice it has the “call computer” option, basically a free phone call to the person’s computer. It dials out the person on the other end hears it ring and has to pickup, it’s that simple. So although I do enjoy this forum, sometimes it may be nice to actually talk live with someone free of charge right there and then. It requires a decent internet connection and a microphone of some sort and of course a sound card on your pc. Sound quality is good, what you would expect from a cell phone. I have a lousy DSL and it still works fine for me. It also has plenty of options so if you don’t want to be available or bothered at the time, you don’t have to be. You can still be online and in stealth mode, which means you appear offline to other contacts. Or just turn off incoming phone calls.

I usually have time and no problems critiquing music, hey I‘m no music critic but I do have a second pair of ears and sometimes that‘s all that‘s needed.. At night, if I have spare time and browsing the forum I will have the yahoo on, you want an quick opinion, or just to BS, give a call. My Yahoo name is jakesterl, “JakesterL”.

My dratted sat hookup only allows me so many 'puter nuggets before it shuts me down 'til I'm slower than dial-up for two whole days. I think I need to upgrade my package (in more ways than one - ooops - did I say that out loud?) I'll drop by for one of these one of these nights, but I may not be able to stay long.
