Hey guys! I have good neeeews! My band has been held up for awhile because of the low power of my 35 watt vocal amp, and they couldn't hear me during practice. So I talked my mom into getting me this for Christmas:

http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/pr ... sku=630486

That there is 200 watts, and it's HALF OFF! So $299.99 for something thats usually $579.97 is VERY good for such a great product.

Also I noticed that all the reviews on it are very good...I can't wait to get it.

Let me know what you guys think, and if you have something better PLEASE recommend it!

I have the smaller scale version of this PA package. It sounds pretty good for practice purposes, but I wouldn't use it for much else. The dynamic mic it comes with actually isn't that bad. Good for a start for certain. Doesn't come with pole stands, but that's a relatively cheap investment. Oh, and you shouldn't really trust those "list price" things. You'll see things online and even in more stores now that are "marked way down from list price."

Well, I don't care what the original price was, I just care that its only $299, haha

And mic stands...They don't exist in Hardcore Metal, haha

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure. I'll have to ask the guitarist. It's his. But yea I know it's not too powerful, but it's actually really good. I can be heard clearly even with the drums pounding.

They do if you play guitar at the same time. You can get a decent stand for pretty cheap at The Friend, too, if you want. My PA package actually came with a straight stand, but I bought a boom for more room to thrash around.

Hey Ryan,

Good deal man, Yeah , I was lookin over the specs and seen the +48V phantom PWR...Most of those older smaller brains only have +15 which cant supply alotta todays condenser mics. You'll like having those super Hi Z inputs too..Regular line level 1/4 in inputs SUCK for guitar and high Z mics etc. Yeah, Im sure you'll have a blast with all the FX. (I can already imagine what your gonna do.. ) Yeah, 100w per side aint much with 10" woofs but as long as your not expectin it to handle kick drum and hi watt bass gtr direct input you'll be cool.
Yeah man Merry Xmas!!!

John

It would be kind of boring for the lead screamer in a deathcore band to be standing there in front of a mic stand, haha

Ryan you're going to love singing through a real PA. However in a few years you'll be upgrading with all the money you'll be making with gigs and selling CD's. Later...
