Who the hell has a riding mower roll over them and kill them?? Arent they doing like... 3 mph? 4mph?
Too weird...

What was this thread again? Most hated christmas songs?
hmmm... I can't really find fault with any of the traditional ones, except for the oversaturation thing.

Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairies -- the bestest holiday song.

Freak accident, Zip.

She was mowing on a hill & it rolled. Ppl get killed like this often, esp when riding those ATV's, which are lighter than your average mower, usually, & it don't really matter how slow you're going, if you fall wrong, or get rolled on wrong.

It's funny. I expected far more ppl on here to really let out some aggression on this one, but I find I'm in the minority again, in my Grinchy/Scrooginess. I must think on this.

It's probably the over-saturation thing, as you suggested, Zip. Every year, by the Dec 25th, I find myself scrolling through the tv channels & radio stations to avoid the stuff, & when I go to a store I just wanna use earplugs.

They really dont bother me too much, I think my brain just shuts them out and they kinda go in one ear and out the other.. unless one of them gets stuck in my head, then it's irritating. I then just go put on some Pantera and whoosh.. all gone. That'll drive any tunes right on outa there. Excessive use of that technique may lead to brain damage tho :\

'Twasn't the blades what killed her. It was the fall combined with the weight of the thing.

"Grandma got run over by a reindeer" <~~~~Hate that one

Love the one that Bing Crosby did with David Bowie. Two different songs sung at the same time. That is my favorite.

Only heard this one song one time on the radio. I laughed my a** off. Porky Pig doing Blue Christmas. Haven't heard it since that one time. Probably because I don't listen to radio all that much anymore.

Safety shutoff switch. One on the seat, one on the clutch/brake, one on the shifter.

They should put one on the driver, but that wouldn't be cheap...and wouldn't turn off stupidity anyway.

Thing is, switches don't help at all when the damn thing rolls over you...sorry to hear about that one Philby, and don't intend to make light of it, just pointing out the obvious.

Man this thread is doing a damn good job of reminding me why I really hate this holiday season. Rude, selfish people...3X around the huge parking lot before you find an empty space then some idiot gets pissed because you beat her to it...continuous overplayed christmas songs I didn't want to hear the first time, much less 4312 times...crowds of obnoxious people and running, screaming kids...

Just yesterday I went walking through the local Goodwill store and guess what they're playing? You got it...Bing Crosby...White Christmas...['scuse me while I go puke] Then on to more of the same, and they had it too loud. Forget the earplugs, hand me my shotgun!

I heard about the Wal Mart employee, it really sucks when people are in that big a hurry to get in the store they will trample someone and nobody bothers to help him up, or even slow down or step around. If they do round up a few of the people who are responsible, they'll just say "well everybody behind me was pushing"...individuals might be intelligent, but put a large group of people together and the level of intelligence goes down dramatically, mob mentality sets in and next thing you know you have an ugly scene on your hands.

Sick...it's a sick world out there..

Ya know, it's one of those funny things that make ppl die. I understand your perplexity perfectly. ("Perplexity" - the word of the day)

One happened to an old man near here about 20 yrs ago, & I'll never forget it.

He sat on a trash can on his front porch, on a busy street. It sorta collapsed, & he found himself stuck in it, his butt in deep & his legs stuck in a way that he couldn't maneuver at all. He was waving frantically at ppl driving by for help, & they just waved back. He died from a heart attack while trying to get his butt out of the can for a whole day & night & the better part of the next day, according to the paper, & no one stopped to help him. No one understood the problem, I guess.

Imagine hearing that story about a relative. Wtf could you do but laugh & use a weird funny epitaph?
