I thought this might bust some balls.

Because I am from across the pond it seems Americans think English folk like warm beer.

Personally I like beer to be ice cold, I understand what you are saying SP, but I just can't drink luke-warm beverages, either it's hot coffee, or cold soda, etc..

Ultra-cold carbonated drinks are just crisper, and it's what I like about them. I'd drink warm beer no sooner than I would drink warm soda.

I believe the common belief in america is that Germans like warm beer, not the UK folks.. but that might be a regional mis-belief. I dunno.

Best cold beer is a Guinness

Hot beer will get you shot, or worse, in Texas.

Anyway we don't but then there is s temp thing in winter. Ice on a bottle doesn't make it stay cold in summer here. However Ice on a bottle here in winter is a different thing altogether.

I'm with Matt and the Sentient one in my preference to a Guinness extra stout of ANY temperature over any ice cold Yankee brew. My old pal and bass player was of Ukrainian decent and would let his favored Pabst Blue Ribbon swell WARM UP before he would drink it!

Humm, being somewhat German (HEIL). I have not heard of that tradition. But I can understand it to a point. I mean the winters in Germany. Yikes! It,s no wonder they drink warm beer and wine.

I used to drink a lot of beer years ago (many years ago). I hardly ever drink it now. I can't imagine why anybody would want to drink it warm. My favorite beer of all time was New Amsterdam beer, I think they were from upstate New York. Don't even know if they are still in existence. I'm really, REALLY pissed off Anheuser Busch was sold to a Belgian company. They STILL advertise it as the great American Lager. What a joke. Everything is being sold to somebody overseas. As far as European beers being better than American beers I don't necessarily agree. People claim they don't have as much chemicals in them, purer water, etc. I'm not too sure about that. I used to occasionally drink Beck's and it made me fart like crazy. I know it was Beck's because no other beer made me fart like that. Some of my beer drinking buddies started telling me to lay off the Beck's. Coors still isn't a bad beer. I think that Coors changed the formula of original Coors when they added Coors light. Original Coors never tasted the same (as good) as when I first started drinking it in the late 70's. At one of the recording sessions we did years ago the studio technician brought a case of Bass Ale. The band members got plastered by the third or fourth song. Bass Ale is some good stuff but I don't recommend drinking it at a recording session. Later...
