I Had hot Saki on the way to a Styx concert a few months ago at a Japanese steakhouse; packs quite the punch. 'Course I still had to sneak a lil' bit of gin in my sock to keep the buzz a rockin for the rest of the nite..

Man I love Sake.
A friend of mine while visiting Inlaw type family in Japan, was invited to Sake with an older gent. (my friend is an east Texas redneck)
Traditional dress and home.
The Gent got out his Sake set. Drew a pot of sake, set out the cups, invited my friend to sit while he served.
The older Japanese Gent then put the Sake pot into the traditional MICROWAVE!
My friend said he had to bite into his toungue to keep from laughing at the irony.

Hey sans - I had a cold saki recently that was really strange. It came in a 12 oz bottle, & you had to shake it up, cuz there's like chalk dust in it, or Pepto Bismal or something. I didn't like it nearly as much as the regular stuff. There's a bar in Hagerstown that serves 5 kinds of saki. I tried 3 of them one night. I still like the regular green & white label stuff that I'm used to the best. I forgot the name, but I've bought it & it's the one I'm served most often in restaurants..
