There's a new HaleAmanO track on my profile of a rough draft recording. The song is called Love Me For Me.

Feel free to take a listen and enjoy..

Peace.

Were you looking for feedback, or no?

You can if you want. But the only real finished product is the guitars and vocals. And it hasn't been mastered yet. I think it's recorded long at the end to fade out quicker than what it does now.

It's more of a scratch track.

But if you want to critique it, I won't mind.

Alright so.. I hafta take the song off. The band doesn't want it on this site. If you want to hear it you have to go to the myspace link in my sig.

Sorry for that guys.

You had to take it off because the band didn't want you to put it up? I would think it would be a good idea to get the music out everywhere possible. Right? I'll go to myspace and take a look but I was just wondering.

Sentient Paradox wrote:IMHO, I don't believe in putting anything right out there where anyone can hear it until it's done to the satisfaction of all concerned.

I have some crappy recordings on my site, but no one gets to hear those unless they actually sign up as members. I'm still considering taking them down anyway. They aren't good quality, and probably shouldn't be there at all.

Yeah me too man, but I did it anyway because they're just "ideas" that had no more than 10 minutes into any of them from creation to recording. Sounds better on myspace anyway, but who cares? I think it's just a good tool to put up stupid ideas (I've got hundreds of them) so people can get the jist of where you're coming from. I won't put up my "meat & potatoes" material until there's at least drums and bass to them. I'm working on doing all of that on my own.

Shredd6: Well done my man. You know me man, 110% SHRED HEAD classical and electric, so I don't listen to your style too much, but I like it none the less. Good work and best of luck to you guys!!!

Thanks to the other two posts below my previous post, I think I kind of understand the why. I suppose it does make some sense. At least we have a place we can go to to hear it for now. To my ears, its actually good! Reggae was never my first choice of genre, but I had several years of hearing it that I'm used to it. I've heard the reggae / heavy metal combos before and like that very very much. It's not common though because most bands cannot capture that uniqueness. I believe your band has got something here. Good luck to all of you!

I had to take it off here because I guess the player count is a big deal on Myspace. Gentry and Craig can attest to that. The Bandmix player doesn't have a player count. And it's nowhere near as big as Myspace anyway.

The reason the song was posted anywhere on the net was just to get a little feedback, and see how active our page actually is.

The song is also being played on the radio in Hawaii from what I heard. Also sometimes here in Vegas.

We played a killer show with Pati last night. The place was packed from wall to wall, and that song did very well with the audience. This band has some really big plans for 2009. Shows in Vegas, Arizona, California and Hawaii all summer.

We're starting to make a buzz here in Vegas which is really hard for a Reggae band to do here. We're just going to keep working hard, and see where it takes us.

If you can get your music played in Hawaii you guys are doing a hell-of-a-lot better than you letting on! Jawaiian is played a lot back there but because there are so many people who do it, the radio stations are very picky as to whose music gets played.

I will have to tell my family back home to listen for it. Try to get them to buy your album, spread the word, etc. The dialogue would be short and sweet.. something like:

Me: "Eh, if you hear a song by Haleamano, buy da album!"
Response: "OK"
Me: "Tell your friends, too!"
Response: "OK"
[Hang up] LOL

One love, mon! Rajah! (Now I'm starting to sound like I'm from Jamaica..lol)

Thanks a lot for your support Missing home.. We have another show with Pati and Sashamon coming up.

You know. You can vote for us to play in Hawaii. Here's a link to our website for details. I'll have to ask the other guys, but I think we're doing pretty good so far in the voting.

Shredd I don’t usually listen to Reggae, but this is really good, excellent quality. Catchy and happy man, thanks for the smile. :)

Sent you a vote as well. You guys sound anywhere near this good live, you should be playing.

Hey thanks lalong!! I saw your vote man! We're actually doing better than the numbers suggest. The tally hasn't been updated yet. We are gaining good ground.

Hey, if we make it, I believe we will be playing in Seattle as well. If that happens, maybe we can convince Gentry to get onstage with us for a song or two.. That would be FATTT!!! Reggae leads can be very bluesy. And well.. I think we all know how good he is at that.

Thanks again for your support, I really appreciate it.

Peace.
