I missed all the give and take on this thread. I better not get started, I've got too much other work to do, like go into the studio and produce our new CD. After all this is a music website, is it not? (Hey Philby quit eating potato chips, they are BAD for you). Later...

Well said "Kramerguy" nice to hear someone that can look objectively at how the USA got to where it is and not be spouting out some party line dogma.

The US has become so polarized on so many important issues, like welfare, healthcare and abortion, the half-truths and misinformation by some of these groups are unreal … don’t want universal healthcare that would make us commies or something. I hope you guys sort it out.

I have heard of horrible things men have been up to lately on the News and I am not categorising anyone but honestly alot of men have done pretty horid things out there and yet us women are always at the bottom. We only get our periods every damn month and eventually GIVE BIRTH, most times more than once, thats not half of it. We also have to suffer humiliation and suffering in life from countless amount of things but we also try to make the best for our families, i just dont understand how we're not qualified for positions such as president, i dont get it.[/b]

Nobody said "a woman" couldn't be qualified to be president. For instance, I think Hillary Clinton IS qualified, and would probably have done the job fairly well. On the flip side of that, I think Barbara Boxer is also qualified, but would do a horrible job. That being said, I don't think Brittany Spears is qualified, nor does having a period and kids somehow magically qualify her, as your post would suggest. Why did you even bring that into the discussion? It's not a very fair argument, as "men" did not make the decision for women to have periods and the ability to give birth.

Sorry Cena, but that's complete bullshit and you know it.You'd have an argument about women being at the bottom maybe 50 or 60 years ago.
In one election process there's been two women being heavy contenders.

Name one occupation that a women and a man don't share(besides president.)And as for that news stuff,i hear about women having sex with students, killing their children, beating other people for ipods, robbing banks and potentially killing the tellers, and corruption etc.You don't here people saying "whats wrong with women, there so nasty".I"m not dissing you, just saying it's not the 1950's anymore, and you'd have to be completely out of touch too not know that women are NOT at the bottom in most country's.

I am a woman and I have to put in my two cents (which is really only worth about 1/2 cent now).

Men AND Women have been up to horrible things in the news. Granted there are times when things are NOT equal between men and women. BUT things are not always equal between races either. It is getting better. I have to believe that.

As far as "periods" go, that is an excuse. You will NEVER hear my husband say that I go hormonal during that time.

As far as humiliation & suffering, there are plenty of men going thru that right now. Think about how many people that are out there looking for jobs because they have lost them during this tough economic time. Those women AND men that do provide for their families are now doing the "humiliation and suffering" trying to find another job to take care of their families.

There will come a time when we do break that invisible barrier to have a woman president! Just take this election as a huge step towards that direction.

This election, no matter what side you are on, is AMAZING! I am so proud to be a part of this process. We will have for the first time EVER, either a female VP or an African American President! Wouldn't you agree that this is a huge step?

Even baby steps are good as long as we keep going FORWARD!

Thank goodness someone else responded to that before I did. I don't think I'd be nearly as tactful.

I'd have been proud to vote for Hillary, but Palin just didn't do a thing for me, & wouldn't have no matter her gender, or lack thereof...heh heh heh

Not at all, Robin. As I said, you were quite tactful, & I agree with you 100%.

This is kind of a late response, but...

Craig is a very intelligent man and my friend as well. I totally understand and agree with his ideals and vision as was previously stated. After reading through most of this thread, I'll have to admit that I was disappointed at all of the "misconceptions" and blatant almost "lies" if you will, that I read through. Everyone is entitled to an "opinion", but remember the old saying about "opinions"...Should I remind anyone of that??? Nah. That would be too easy...
