Are there any Bassists in or around the Hastings area looking for work!??! I play guitar in a band - me, the drummer and a singer/guitar - we've been searching for over a year trying to find a GOOD, COMMITTED Bass Player. But for the past year theres been nothing. A good setlists worth of our own material and new stuff coming along now and then. At the start we were more of an indie band with a bit of rock thrown in, but since then a greater blues influence has snuck in and as an ever growing love for the Gods of rock and Roll (Led Zeppelin) stares us in the face their influence is becoming prominent.

So...If there is a GOOD, COMMITTED Bass Player (or keys/both) out there please get in touch......

Quick, people, drop your instruments and learn the damn bass. It's almost extinct now

No don't! I like to be able to pick and choose what I want to play and who I want to play with.

Years ago I started playing bass because we couldn't find one, then I started singing lead because we couldn't find a lead singer. The things I have to do to keep a band going. I guess someone's gotta do it. Later...

Bass and keyboard, at least around here are very rare birds. Everyone sings, plays guitar, or drums.

I myself have just stepped from a rythm guitar slot back to my bass spot because there was not bass players to be found that could play or could play and stay "coherent."

The shortage has helped me though cuz I've sat in with two bands in the last couple months when their bass players were not available. Played some music I couldn't stand but I ho'd myself for some $$ to spend on a new bass amp.

Everyone wants to be a star I guess, bass is just something that's "there" to the average listener. They aren't sure what you really do but when you stop they sure know something's wrong.
