BTW y'all

I kinda mentioned it off handedly in another thread, but I found a new band, and they friggin rock. We're down a singer - I was added as a 2nd guitar to help with leads and rhythms. I guess they figured since they needed to take the time to bring someone on board, they wanted to add another guitar anyways...

I've always been a lone guitarist kind of guy, but it must be said- I'm converted lol. Me and the guitarist mesh together so friggin well, it's almost jaw-dropping. No ego's, showboating, or any other typical problems, we get along great both musically and personally. The rest of the band is solid and although we're down a frontman, These guys are very dedicated, have a following, and are taking their time and being patient about finding the right guy.

The music is all covers (they do have a couple of originals though), but the covers are all pretty good, upbeat, interesting.

I could go on all day... lol

Good times again!

I will put the link in my sig-

Great news KG! Awesome when you can mesh. And 2 guitarists can be really rewarding. Congrats and looking forward to some music from your new project.

"This friend I was telling you about... they bring friggin' beads to their shows themselves! Why aren't we bringing beads to shows? We need BEADS TOO!!! .... ohh...and a projector!"

LMAO!

Thanks all. Just got the message that they got an "A" list singer (guy who SAYS he's a great singer lol) for audition this week.

And yes, it's really FUN again. Much more laid back and no ego's, excessive drinking, or showboating going on. I also don't have to worry as much about leading and promoting since everyone has their hands in it and works together to accomplish everything.

And, of course I'm going to be a nag Robin and remind you that I'm still waiting for a band demo

As far as band demo: He sent out a couple of songs that we recorded at practice Monday. I AM NOT SENDING THEM OUT YET. I don't know if it is just me, I hate the way I sound. Maybe it is because I am not used to hearing myself?????? VERY rough recording. But helpful in finding out what needs to be worked on. First time with a song singing it. Really can be better.

I put up the one that he sent. Unchained Melody. Hard to stay awake with that one.
:?

Justification allert!

First time we had a full band practice. No Bass player. First time and take on that song. Only learned it that week, so was not familiar with the nuances of it.

When we get better demo's I will post them.

Gonna throw Deb's song Crazy up here to in a minute. Same as above. First time and take.

PS: when do you ever get used to hearing yourself sing without getting the heebee jeebees?
