I just touched base with a fellow player after 15 years who I played with in Chicago and he's living in Port Charlotte now and quite happy..He plays bluegrass (as do I also)and says the area has many jams to attend but really couldnt elaborate on the scene from a working musicians prospective...I see theres alot of members on here from FL and would like to have someone who is actively working this area give me a summary of what it has to offer...Info like: How many nites a week on ave. can you work? Genre of music played where most work would be found etc...Ive gotta get outta WV. been here 12 years and the scene has been on a fast decline...Doug made Port Charlotte sound so good
, I almost picked up and left 2 notes ago ...Anyway, any info would be appreciated concerning gigs, cost of living, rent , campgrounds etc.
