Hey Cliff the more I read your posts the more I think you"re not doing anywhere enough networking. Notwithstanding these guys on Bandmix tearing into you they are making some valid points, just not in a very diplomatic way. You DO have to get some of YOUR playing or singing loaded up on your profile page. You DO have to PRACTICE more to become a MORE DESIRABLE potential band member. You DO have to figure out ways to contact way more people in YOUR area. Some of these people on Bandmix may sound mean but they"re really not. I believe they"re trying to get you to take some ACTION and stop complaining. It sounds like you really have some good ambition and that"s half the battle. This music business is a TOUGH business. Yes, it can be COLD. You"re going to run into all kinds of personalities, some of whom you are NOT going to get along with. I"ve butted heads with numerous band members. I"ve been the lead singer/songwriter/and front man of bands and have been kicked out of the band for being a dic*head. And I"ve had to kick band members out of other bands. That"s just the music business. You may not like what Crip and some others are saying, but in their own way they"re actually telling you the cold, hard truth. I know your situation may be rough but it"s not hopeless. Look at some of the blind performers who made it big in music: Ray Charles, Jeff Healy, Jose Feliciano, etc. Do you think they sat around and complained or did they take the appropriate ACTION to better themselves as musicians and become a VALUABLE ASSET AS A BAND MEMBER? I hope everything works out for you. I think I"ve exhausted any advice I can give you.

I've been to B.R. and public transit is useful. If you are in search of some musicians, do an open mic or two, or in your case a hundred and two. This way you can meet others, that more than likely will think the same of you as many of us do. However, who cares? It means you tried, and it didn't work out. You can move on with your pathetic life and become a paperweight on society. The reverse could happen, and your dreams would come true. This second scenario is highly unlikely, so instead of it being plan A let's make it plan N for never going to happen. Take care and try to grow up.
