Gig was a freakin' blast last night.... crowd would not let us stop!!! We ended up doing almost a whole set of encores... Man was I spent at the end of the night!

Me doin' a song that required strong tremolo... so I didn't have one so basically did the next best thing and manually bought the low E down to a growl!


LOL.. I look like a zombie... this was the 2nd to last song of the night.... we were on till almost 3am!!

How do you like those Mackie powered speaker/sub set up?

Expensive.

Bet it sounds nice and full though.

What's going on with the monitors? Powered by seperate amp?

The whole sound system that night is owned by our booking agent... hence they get 15% of our take which is fine with us because out here, if we wanted to rent a sound system like that with sound engineer, it would cost us $1000.00- $1,500.00 a gig! Yes, the monitors are powered by a seperate amp and we definitely get a nice full sound considering we're just a 3 piece. The soundman is awesome and that's why I really don't have to rely much on special effects pedals. He knows our tunes inside and out and when I go into a lead, that's when he performs his magic. My singer has a smaller version of this mackie sound system that we use in my basement studio.... we've yet to use it at our gigs as most clubs we play at have a house PA with soundman or our booking agent supplies the PA...

Im late to the party but heres my weekend in a quick glance.

Crip we got finished around 1:45, we were only supposed to play til 1am, the police came in and told us to quit. We had a blast, I had way too much to drink, they took me dancing after the show til 5am, I never dance, but from what Ive been told I was a regular John Travolta.

Got up at 9:30 am and headed to my sons bike race in Lowes KY, he finished 2nd overall in his main class which is really really good considering the competition. This was a 3 and a half hour drive one way so I didnt get in til around 11 sunday night. Im looking forward to work to catch up on some rest.

I was impressed with the sound quality considering she was using a hand cam. We also have a film maker taking footage of the next few gigs for a Promo Video and also a Spinal Tap type Documentary.

Looks like Crip and Craig had a great weekend as did I.

Next weekend we do a Wedding Reception thats also a combination birthday party for me and our bass player. We arent taking the full show just a small setup so we can have fun.

Im not to embarassed to post this. Sounds pretty good for a handy cam. This was actually our opening soundcheck, the gig hadnt started yet. This was around 9:30, listen to the crowd.

Warped Tour was our biggest show but we did a gig this past Saturday and had between 900-1000 people show up to hear some of our new songs that will be on our new EP. It was a kick ass show!
