Hello Doc,
Your profile looks and sounds great to me .
If you have something that another musician or band leader is looking for, a bandmix free membership could do you just fine. As I stated many times before on this forum, I have been successful in hooking up with players, even though my subscription is free.

On the other hand, if you see that there is a lot of potential band-mates that you would like to jam with, then a paid membership seems a good deal.

As I was discussing with Robin, Bandvista seems an excellent investment for a established working musician or band. For a bit more then a Bandmix premiere membership, you get a professional looking web domain, PLUS membership in Gigleader, which could be a link to many potential jobs, PLUS a premier Bandmix membership so if you needed to engage a musician in a pinch, you could increase you odds of finding one, since you can contact them hassle free.

I am going to check out your work on your profile further, that clarinet piece sounds awesome!

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the compliments. You a right about an open plan increasing the feeling of spaciousness in smaller homes. I have done extensive research on many aspects of this house and, as I mentioned before, found Susanka's book very helpful as pertains to more reasonable sizeing. There are literally hundreds of over sized, heat wasting homes up for foreclosure in our area, produced by a greed driven market. We are currently seeing the sad results of that kind of thinking.

The upstairs laundry was Cin's requirement. I seemed to make sense to me.

If you wish,I'll post a link to Cin's photobucket album of the progress. The house has progressed since the pic posted was taken.

On the subject of flute music....

I have always thought that one of the most beautiful combinations of instrumentation is a trio of flute, viola, and harp.

Cins calling to have coffee, so Gotta go

John,
Yes, I would like to see those pics.

Regarding your thoughts on instrumentation, I have to agree. I did a couple of weddings with a harpist...so cool. I love the tonality of the viola and I am considering using it in my arrangement for "Coffee Break". But to do an actual trio of flute/harp and viola i have not done. Harpists are not cheap but perhaps I can get some some better payin' gigs now that I am getting close to being famous :?
