I always wanted to take up archery, but I have flat feet (bad arches).

Not real good with a recurve. Only hunted with it one time. I was too scared I'd gut shoot one and loose him. I'd rather not fire a round than not get a clean kill the way my Father and Grandfather taught me. Grew up with the .243 it,s very acurate in a quality barrel. Grew up shootin revolvers as well, had one in one hand or the other since I was 9. Makes it hard to play my Paul.
Man this post has deviated a bet hasnt it.

I seriously think there's something strange around these parts that affects animals. Since I moved here I've seen some very weird stuff that just shouldn't be possible- a squirrel running across the road on its hind legs holding a nut, upright like a person - saw a box turtle actually jump well over a foot off a lil cliff - I've seen something that looked suspiciously like a panther-sized big black cat (there are scores of reports of this around here) - saw a squirrel, dead, standing on three legs & holding up his right forepaw, with blowflies all over his eyes & mouth, frozen in place like he was about to take another step - saw a racoon family with a little skunk running with them. I'm told that back in the '70's there were a bunch of reported sightings of a 5 foot tall rooster running around all over the area. (I can understand that one - it was the '70's, with all those super-hallucinogens!) Wild turkeys & pheasants have mysteriously appeared in my friend's completely enclosed pens with his chickens.

Last year I saw some huge bird eating a deer carcass someone was kind enough to leave on the side of the road after they took what they wanted from it. Its wing span was longer than my Explorer is wide. It was white with all these brown splotches. It had the beak of a bird of prey, the facial features of an eagle or something. It stood around 3 feet high, & its feet were at least as big as my hands. I have yet to be able to find it in a bird book. I'm glad I saw it, though. It was awesome to see!

Dddonnie has had three baby o'possums in his house. They have pretty poor eyesight. They were following his cat like it was their mommy. Kinda cute, the way their little tails stuck straight up as they followed her in a perfect row everywhere she went. It took him a week to catch them each, & return them to the wild. A few years ago he had this tree frog just move into his house. It lived on a house plant for an entire winter. Every once in awhile it would send out this ear-splitting screach. We were sitting there one night the following spring, & it jumped up on the table, gave us the peace sign, & jumped out the open door.

Whoa... how did I miss this post?
All that stuff = awesome. Can I come camp out on yer property in the interest of science?

You should tote a video camera with you everyday. Everywhere you go. Do a 'Phils West Virginia Video of the day' website thingy, or something.
