I honestly think that if we could get a kickass female vocalist willing to do our tunes, it would definitely take us up a notch....

Bro.. Capt. should just stick to his hobby of collecting Star Trek dolls ( or action figures as they like to call them).

Scotty.. Here's a 6-year-old little girl that not only can sing better than you, she already had a more lucrative music career than you'll ever have by the time she was 7.

To list the professional women musicians that have won Grammys alone would take me all freaking night.

But I thought I'd just give you a taste of a 6-year old who has already blown away your psychedelic Starship.

Hell Yeah Shred6!!! I like your style. Im about to start recording, and have had complications finding a voice to compliment the guitar and the awesome lyrics. I found out my problem was in the voice u was looking for.. Im working with a female now. Its defenitely a twist on the songs ive wrote. But i like it.

1 point for the females.

If you like it, then great.

If you don't like it, then great.

Am I clear enough for even you now? "Pissy lil kiddies with full diapers.."

Do you agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion? I am guessing not.

What part of that do you not understand>? How about Morse code? Sign language?

I think you are just pissed because someone pee'd in your cornflakes and you ate them anyway. (SOP for Shred and Jimmie)

"Having a good time laughing at your personal attacks", by all means do go on..I enjoy all of it no matter how much you froth at the mouth.

If you are ever in NJ, come on by. I'd love to take you out to a show or something. I know you folks would like "CATS" the musical or something equally boring. lol

PS: NJ is a pit, ask Bob. I am sure he remembers well enough. And by ranking on NJ, it bothers me exactly zero. You should know that people that do this have thick skin, so the little people are great when they compliment you and great when you have to ignore them. (Even they too are entitled to their own opinion.)

Don't quit your day job(s) as you may starve if you did.

Actually parts of New Jersey are quite nice to live in. I lived for a while in Hackettstown. It was one of the nicer places I"ve ever lived in. The biggest problem with New Jersey is the cost of living. The price of housing and real estate taxes drove me to Kansas (which is getting rather expensive these days). As you know Captain, NW New Jersey is a beautiful part of the state. I miss it for the scenery and trout fishing (small streams were my specialty). I also had a lot of friends there, including some very fine musicians. When I was there the bands in New Jersey stuck together way longer than in Kansas City. I"ve played with so many different people here it makes my head spin. Very transient bunch of musicians in KC for sure. Overall I'd have to say I like KC better, but the weather here is the most fickle of any place I"ve ever lived. I"ve never seen it rain so hard as it does here at times. Tornado watches all the time in Spring can get a bit unnerving. Later...

I think Cap is the Jersey Devil...LOL...howzabout Blue Cheer or the Go-Go's or Janet Jackson or Tanya Tucker or Peggy Lee or Billy Holiday or Ella Fitzgerald or Greenie Magic or Robin L or Black57? Good voices all, from what I've heard.

Jeez, Cap. I think you LIKE alienating ppl! I can understand it when you say that their voices don't fit your ear well, though. Some ppl just don't take well to certain frequencies. That can happen to anyone, & yeah, I think it would easily make you kinda prickly about it. I feel that way about Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, & all the other whiney male voices, myself. Nothing worse than a guy whining, imo. Makes me wanna slap them with a rotten carp.

I worked a bluegrass band where the one singer thought it necessary to the genre to be as nasal & whiney as possible. Gawd what an awful sound!

I also hate yodelling, for the most part (although I like that Cranberries yodeller!)

Aww Philby..thanks for that. He is not alienating me. He is after all entitled to his opinion. I for one disagree with his opinion but that is my right after all. I can actually choose to ignore him also. Wow what a concept! :P I keep coming back to this thread, not because of him, but because of all you guys sticking up for us "Lowly" female singers.

Hey, I enjoy music. I do not play any instrument (my brain can't get around my two hands doing two different things at the same time), so God made it that I can sing without breaking anyone's eardrums (exceptin' the Capt's of course). That is my contribution to hopefully expressing myself musically. If I couldn't sing, that would be like - ah geeze- um...you guitar players having a guitar sitting in the same room with you and you can't pick it up to play.

I was once in a all origional four peice band with my wife and two other ladies, an unexpected asset was, after playing a gig, I would go out in the van and soon a steady stream of drums, amps and p.a. cabinets would appear at the van door, all being borne by the male bar patrons!

I loved that band....

Chicks are cool....

Improvement with each rehersal. It's her song, out of her heart, hell yes she can sing it with us. And I'll stand right beside her with my Paul and play the best I can for her sake.

And liberty for all!!! 8) That's what I'm talkin' bout.

Hey, thanks. Check out this song. This is the band I just joined. It's stuff from a while back. We don't have this singer in the current line-up. But check out the song called "Dear Mr. Marley". Damn man.. Mz. Irie can sing dude.

I didn't say I hate it, I said I don't prefer it.

LOL You guys like Wendy O and the Plasmatics? Holy sheet, your dating yourself now.

I used to like watching that video where she rides on top of the flaming bus. LOL

And feel free to ignore anything that ruffles your feathers, you know I do the same sh*t.

I do like L7 though and the donnas. A few little bits here and there. Of course you always have a few exceptions to every rule...

jimmydanger wrote:Crapton, I'm convinced you like being told that you suck. You are a no-talent wannabe who enjoys trying to tear down others who have more talent than you, which would be anyone. You are scared of women, and you should be because you have no testicles. I provided links of women who could rock you into the ground but you pass. I see now why they call New Jersey New York's toilet. Pathetic loser.

WOW..DUUUUDE ... I just read this...WTF??? Step back from the keyboard  Get outside and breathe the fresh air.... What's with the personal attacks when you weren't personally attacked???? Anyone fux with me then I'l retaliate but nothing was directed at you!... If we were all great musicians, we honestly wouldn't even have time to post here... Everyone's entitled to their opinion and there's just something seriously wrong with those scathing remarks!!
