i'm getting a just audible woof sound palm muting on the low e string when in distortion. kind of like a horn sound mixed in. i'm not sure if it was there before but somebody thought it was funny to crank the amp all the way up on one channel and down on the other. then he was having fun kicking the footswitch between channels. i'd just got back from the beer run when i found this going on.

If it's a tube amp, you might just have a blown tube. I don't know. Sounds bad though. Hope it wasn't an expensive amp, and I hope you beat the truth out of whoever was with it while you were out.

I hate people who disrespect gear that ain't theirs.

i didn't beat him cuase he's basted all the time. it wouldn't do any good. the amp is just a solid-state behringer v-tone 212. i think the speakers must have taken it hard(jenson). i should have known better than to leave the stuff out like a party favor i guess. such is life when your a fake rockstar!!lol! .....but also...will cheap pickups too close to the strings do this??

At least it was just a cheap ass amp.

Sounds like they got the speaker coil, try unhooking the speakers and borrow someones speaker cab and see if its fixed. You can almost buy another Behringer for the price of a speaker. I bought one of their 4x12s a couple of years ago for $250 brand new. The tolex on those things is cheap, the first time I moved it, it tore all up. But it actually sounds pretty good.

If you're not going to slap that a**hole around, then ask for the money for repairs, or something in trade.

And get angry at him, man, before you talk to him!

Don't know if you'll get anything from him, but he'll think twice next time.

WE had a buddy that "accidentally" destroyed one of the little monitors we were using.

The nail gun was handy so I had the guys hold him near a sheet of 2x4 and I shot him 1x and nailed his one cheek to the 2x4. I was tempted to do it 3-4 times.

well, i would maybe beat him down...but,sadly, life beat me to it. i heard he's under the bridge now. actually went to find him the other weekend. aghh! my daughter knows his and she's been asking where her daddy is...so sad! karma gets around but...damn! i almost feel bad for posting now...if i could bring him back from the dead i guess i'd let the amp slide. he was a pretty good drummer. i'd walked in on him doing some zepplin at guitar centers one day. he was doing a pretty good job even wasted!....anyway...yea, the speakers have had it.
