Yea that is what happend to me. My wife just smokes me with the pistol. I told her if anyone breaks in the house I am hiding behind her since she is the great shot. I practice and practice and I am not even in the same league as her. She doesn't like rifles other then 22. She doesn't like anything in a rifle with a recoil she can feel. The funny thing is she has fired a 45 automatic pistol and prefers it to the 9mm.

A BAR? That's a 30-06 round. Yea that will get the ears ringing.

And the Mac-11. Isn't that a 9mm round with a barrel about a half an inch long and it likes to rise big time upon recoil?

My fav is the Weatherby 300 magnum. I can get a stone way out there and drop pretty much anything in North America. Problem is the shoulder starts to feel it after several shots. Here's one for you. I have a 303 British. Ugly as all get out. It hurts almost as bad as the Weatherby even though it's a much smaller round. I don't know how a guy in combat could fire that rifle for any length of time and have a shoulder left.

My wife loves her berreta - like yours, she prefers the .22. My mom packs (yeah she has a concealed carry permit) a Walther with a laser sight on it. A NICE piece. On small arm that my wife and I both like alot is my dad's 1800's model Colt .45. I LOVE that thing. Nickel plate and pearl handled. I wouldn't dare ask my dad what he paid for it.

That Mac-11....I was surprised that I could actually hit something with it, but only because my dad put an 8 inch flash supressor on it which extends the barrel. But otherwise, you're right...its a half inch barrel like an Uzi which means you can't hit squat. But you sure can spray a close area, and thats all its really good for.

My brother's BAR is a really nice rifle but he sure paid out the nose for it. I think he spent about 10 large on it.

I've never shot a 303. I'd sure like to, shoulder pain or not.

Aside from noting on someone I do not know, or let alone care to know (nothing personal I just don't engage with people online, its mostly drama) (Even if I'm sort of engaging now -lol- Must be a rare day to peak). The truth that can be afforded however here is : Those that claim they are of anything, be it nice, a gentleman, and so forth .. are often less or none of what they claim. It is by this distinction one must live their lives as such. Over trying to verbalize something far less true. So with that I wish you the best and all things life offers. This is to not be taken as a negative. Only that I do hope its shown more than said. =)

For the others this is also why I do not post because as one may read over the past replies. Not one of us is perfect, or has the perfect life, and not everyone gets along. And most seek a defining nature (albeit cruel one) at times amidst others. I guess this is humanity ... Though If I don't like someone , the comments they make, or just find them substandard to what I prefer .. I just don't reply. Its not that hard. And in the end you will engage more on subjects more liked and worth the time. Over spending time to post/talk back to such persons.
