I personally own a few Les Pauls and just can't get used to the Strat Feel so it was very rarely played and is in practically brand new condition! I would also consider a trade for a Les Paul in the same price range! ( I paid a little over $1,300 brand new w/ hardshell case and straplocks)

That's the way I feel about a Les Paul. That 24-3/4" scale is too darn short for me. I also cannot stand a humbucker in the neck position. The bandwidth on a humbucker is just too darn narrow to take full advantage of being located in the middle of the string (the phase cancellation in a humbucker just sucks the life out a guitar).

Huh, never thought about phase cancellation.

In my case Strats are too noisy with the stock pickups. I tend to play with to much gain and you hear every flouresent light within a mile.

I played strats for years and then switched to Pauls, I play the Paul about 95% of the time live. On recordings I double a Paul and Strat thru the same amp and split them stereo. It just fills it up to me.

Crip, I know you hate to get rid of that guitar. Its a good one and sounds good on those videos I saw a while back.

Of the many reasons I love Kramers: (at least many of the american made late model ones)
H/S/S, Best of both worlds
on/off switch for each pickup, more combinations to use
Original Floyd Rose, Lock Nut. Stays in tune for weeks
superstrat design, but feels like the best of both strats and LP's, not hard on the forearm with the slant

Best of all though, is the cheesy 80's metal'ish pointy headstocks.

I'm up to using 5 guitars at gigs though... doing covers, especially classic to modern, I've run into 6 different tunings, have to re-tune one inbetween sets. So glad were going into originals territory finally.

I could kick myself in the a$$ for getting ried of my Kramer Baretta (Candy Apple Red) in the late 80's... One pickup and the Floyd Rose was awesome!!!

This particualar model was designed by Eddie Van Halen himself and my keyboardist who owned a music store at the time ordered it for me!

yeah the barettas have become the 'holy grail' of kramers. I always preferred the pacer customs (the one in one of my pics) because it's basically the same guitar with more pickups

You can still buy a nice american pacer around $700 or less (market with bad economy has brought prices down), and a baretta for $1000-$1200.

I find it amazing how well they play and stay in tune no matter how much you abuse the tremolo.

I'm really pissed at myself that I used to own a Kramer signature paul dean model and sold it on the street for $300 (15 years ago) when I was strapped for rent money. They sell on ebay (when a rare one pops up) for $4g and up. Best guitar I ever owned.

That is a fine guitar indeed, but what about all the teeth marks from you chewin' on the neck? You will have to knock off a few bucks from book value!
