Hey all.... just an invite for some feedback on my tunes. I have a small music room that I record in and will soon have enough songs for a "cd". I use a Boss Br1200cd to record on, my guitar, my keys , mic and small processor and drum machine. I'm a novice but learning with each song. Any feedback would be great. Mainly..... do you think the songs are too different in style? I know diversity can be a good thing but then again stuff thats too different will turn people off.... Thanks for the feedback. Cheers!

Before I even listen to it, I gotta say kudos to you for mixing it up, if that's indeed what you are doing...

My Little Lady - cool updated T-Rexish kinda sound.

Everything Nothing - Nice keyboard bass-work. I like how it weaves in & out of the guitar playing.

Last Goodbye - I don't like the guitar tone that much, but you play well. Reminds me of Rick Derringer, though you don't sound like him.

Make 'Em Bleed - You have a good voice. Nice use of effects on the vox, too. Glad you didn't overdo it there.

We All Wanna Be - nice change of pace, here. Nice tinkly rainish piano in the intro. Guitar is a surprize. Metallica kinda thing here, ain't it?

Spreadin' Down Deep - more Metallica soundin' stuff.

Overall, it sounds like a lot of popular metallish rock stuff I've heard, but it is good music. Good arrangements & musicianship. Recording quality is better than I'm used to. I was left looking for a really strong signature lick or vocal harmonies, at times, but that's just me, I'm sure. Wait to hear what the rest of the ppl have to say. I'm far from the norm here in opinions, I've found. LOL

Very nice work.

I'm too F'n tired to go into a long critique. Usually dont any how.
Did not like MLL, don't know why, seemed a tade longon chorus and short on lyrical content. I did enjoy the rest of the tunes, nice variation on rock theams. Well recorded.
Thanks Mike. I love Indi music!

Not bad at all “Bad apple” I hear a lot of influences in your music, this is not a criticism since none of us can escape the influence of the people who inspired us, but be able to take that inspiration and turn it into your own signature is a mark of a musician.

Pardon the parallel but I can’t help it, the song Everything and nothing, in my mind reminds me of a great song by Ted Nugent called Stranglehold.
The work that you put in those songs was worth for me, good luck with your search for other musician I think you can be an asset to a band.
Cheers

Hey thanks guys. I appreciate the input. Also...I'mnot afraid negative stuff and appreciate the honesty. As far as influence and sounding like different artists or people it is very hard not to sound like someone else because so much has been over the years.

The comment on My Little Lady and lyric content, I was actually feeling the same thing. Myabe a little too repititious on some parts. I threw it together pretty quick. I also agree with the sound of the guitar on Last Goodbye.

But thanks guys for taking the time to check it out. Its appreciated. =o)
