hey frontman I'm stuck in Hazard, and I'm sure your aware of this place. Its taken me the better part of 2 yr.s but I finally did put a quality band together. (just 2 weeks ago). I've been wanting to get back to a major city again (where I usually am) to have access to player's but I guess everything happens for a reason! sounds like your gonna just have to make it happen bro....work this and other site's and TALK TO LOCAL MUSICIAN'S. there are more way's to go than just the local big club's. and if your good enough to pack em, you'll get paid. Good Luck!
Hayden

A few years ago I went down south to help out a friend who was in dire straits, & I'd just built a house & had some help to offer. When I got there, I figured I'd check out the bar scene & see if I could snag some work for the future - sorta get a paying vacation out of my next trip.
I went from Jacksonville to West Palm, & hit every place I could find. I took ppl's advice on places to go.
It was surprizingly DEAD down there. I'd have thought there'd be all kindsa stuff going on for the tourists, but no - Deadsville, Unincorporated.
Shoulda maybe gone farther south to Miami, eh?
I'd love to learn some of that world beat stuff that the Latinos & such play. At least I found a good daishiki in a store down there.
Hope you have gooder luck than I had.

A few years ago we were considering moving to the Florida panhandle. I located a bunch of bands and musicians and e-mailed a bunch of them a heads up I was considering moving there. I got NO RESPONSE, ZILCH. Whatever happened to hospitality? Later...
