I am trying.
It's an interesting sidebar how people in general and Americans in particular like to hide in their social bubble from the sometimes ugly reality that is life. (me included) A study of the social freedoms awakining that is taking root in France now is a good case point. All too ready were they to allow the nanny state to provide for their every need untill a realization that they were being controlled and oppressed monitarly.

When I say that, I am referring to the lyrics AND the overall 'feel' of a song.
All reflections of one's emotions . . .

Im am trying to say that tumultuous times have produced
the most creative periods in our short history. The music I
love best and believe to be most profound happened around
the Viet Nam era here and the record breaking recessions/Berlin Wall/Communism stuff in Europe.
My opinion, emphasis on opinion, is that America has gotten
apathetic and 'fat' so to speak and the culture has reflected
that over the past 20 years or so. I just cannot believe the
Britney Spears/puffdaddy/MTV Kulture 2008 could have taken
root in 1969. Even the fluff back then was kool. The Monkees
had songs that questioned status quo but set to harmless and
happy melodies.

If that last post seemed a bit angry, it was, I admit it. But the anger isn't directed at anyone who posted here.

It's anger at a government agency that seems to have no concern at all for its own citizen's safety.

Sorry if anyone took it in a way I didn't intend.

I admit I am myself guilty, for not paying attention until it affected ME personally.

Shame on me!

yer preachin' to the choir, bro !

I guess we will have to resort to false info
when we set up a domain or use overseas
servers and stuff like that. Like I have always said,
Why are we so worried about a potential foreign attack on us
when the real terrorists are here and assaulting us every day ?
