The birds are chirping.. Clouds in the sky have the weather nice and cool.. The air is fresh. What a nice day to go outside and do something. Maybe grab some beer and the Hibachi and go to the mountains or the lake. And just soak in the nice day..

Hey wait a minute...

Didn't my truck have tires on it last night?

Hopefully you’re kidding around Shredd and there is an alternate reason about the pic.

Geesh man I take it back, thought there was something else to it. It’s hard to believe someone could/would actually do that. It’s pretty brazen. Other then the replacement hassle, were the rims anything special? Obviously you didn’t hear it happening.

Did you file a police report? It would seem like a team of pros doing it. They get busted and you have the police report, you might get the rims back. With thieves it’s only a matter of time until greed takes over and they get caught. Although it doesn’t help you in the short term.

My apologies for making light of it man and I hope they catch the slime responsible.

Dude.. It's ok man, you didn't offend me. It's a bummer, but in my lifetime I've had a vehicle stolen from me 3-times, and broken into twice to steal tools. At least it was just the tires and rims this time.

The odd thing is.. They really weren't anything special. The tires were about 4-years old, and the rims were POS rims.

Times are desperate these days. A lot of people are laid off and have lost their jobs. And this kind of thing is only gonna get worse in my neighborhood. I've started noticing a lot of tagging surfacing over the last year. Even tagged my work Van a few months ago. There are a lot of Mexican gangs around here. I knew it was only a matter of time before I got hit. And I actually don't consider this all that bad.

Ruined my day though.

I'll tell you what though. Had I walked out on it happening, it could have gotten a lot worse. I live alone, and I don't have a gun.

Maybe it's time to pick me up a nice big fat shotgun. Hey Sans.. Who makes a good affordable shotgun these days? Time for me to get protected.

A gun and a dog. Dogs make excellent alarms and carry a deterrent all their own. To most thieves it’s just not worth the hassle dealing with some nasty canine if there are easier pickings around. We have four German Shepherds, and don’t ever have problems with uninvited guests. In a worse case scenario they give you plenty of time to get the gun and in most situations are enough all by themselves.

Go to Wal-Mart, pick up a nice 20 Gauge pump, Remington, Winchester, Mossberg. The youth models make excellent compact home defense weapons when loaded with a lightshot say 71/2 s and can be had for < $200.00. One thing though, if you don't intend to USE IT you are better off without it.

I'd have no problems in that department.

I never really felt like I needed a gun in this neighborhood in the past. But due to the economy being the way it is. Homeowners around here decided to move and rent their houses out. Now there's gangs and meth-heads everywhere. It's been a sad thing to watch my neighborhood deteriorate. When I moved here, most of my neighbors had lived here for 30+ years. All the ones I knew and liked, are all gone or have died.

Back in somewhere around '97, I had to run off some strange drug dealers out of my apartment at gun-point. My roommate invited some strange dudes over for a drug deal, and things got hot somehow. S**t was gonna go down. So I ran into his room and got his shotgun, pumped it, and ran 'em off. So, I guarantee you... I'd use it.

I worry about this a lot. Ppl know not to eff around much out here, cuz we're all maybe a little crazy, but I know it's coming.

My lil pugs aren't any deterrent at all. I need a big dog.

Ppl DO know that I'm certifiable, though, & generally leave me alone, but there's always those lone wolves out there who don't know ya that you hafta watch out for.

When I see a car turning around at my house (I live at the end of the street) I just walk out casually with my 30/30. It's amazing how fast a big SUV can turn around when they need it to. Never see 'em coming back, for some reason.

I carry a pistol or revolver with me at all times. Even here at home. It has just become a habit like putting on my belt. I think dogs make great alarms and a deterent to some extent. I have 6. Lab sized in my yard.
(I love dogs) and a pig. More people are scared of the pig.
I dont believe in the dog doing my fighting though. When the lights go out at my place myself and my eldist son sleep next to AR15's Am I crazy.
Or prepared. Each must judge for himself I suppose.

Oh yea, dogs rule. If you're not paying attention, rest assured that the dog will be at least, paying more attention than you. And at the very least, it'll warn you, if not directly growl from the guts 8)

Sorry brother.

Too bad Sans wasn't there. I think there may have been several bodies laying around, before the second wheel even came off. LOL
