"...This made me do alot of soul searching though. Especially comments suggesting that the world has to be my vision of it.
I can see very easily how I come across like that.
It is a personal liability and something I need to work on.
... It must have seemed like I was trying to direct Mike's entire career path, and forcefully so. That wasn't really my intention...
...In any event, I need work on my social skills.
And again, I apologize to anyone for anything done intentionally or anything misunderstood.
I like everyone here, and long ago, I learned that I could disagree with anyone on the most serious issues, and look past it at their unique values and qualities.
There is something I have found to appreciate and value about everyone here, and I feel badly, that doesn't always come across.

Ace, glad to see you moving forward with your festival. I can see why you would avoid the forums in the future. You mentioned a venue you wanted to try & someone belittled it with odd broad statements. When you responded, you were slammed by a whole bunch of ppl. And now this guy won't let you alone.
I applaud your efforts, & would advise that you stay & communicate with the rest of us; that you keep doing what you think is right for you, your co., & your clients; & simply respond with the quote above whenever this guy wants to start up more stuff with you, unless you want to stroke him. He responds well to that, too.

Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural apol·o·gies
Etymology: Middle French or Late Latin; Middle French apologie, from Late Latin apologia, from Greek, from apo- + logos speech — more at legend
Date: 1533
1 a: a formal justification : defense b: excuse 2a
2: an admission of error or discourtesy accompanied by an expression of regret <a>
3: a poor substitute : makeshift"
When I 1st read the above quote in that other thread, I thought he was using the word "apologize" as a variation of the #2 definition above. I didn't realize it was a justification (#1) for his demand of an apology (the #2 type) from others. It seems to be, in the final analysis, to be a #3 type, i.e., a poor substitute for a true public apology, judging from his subsequent actions in this forum.
I apologize if I've been wrong, unclear, or seem divisive, petty & mean.
