What up hombre's, you guys mind letting me know what you think of the guitar i put down over a guitarless track of Anarchy in the Uk by The Sex Pistols?

Starts out a little rough, but overall, nice job!

Thanks for the response man, not much love for punk rock on this thing,more for the same old story stuff and girls for some reason .
So do you think it blended into the track alright?I recently broke my $40 mic, so for the time being i'm using this $10 mic made for "chatting" from Zellers, so when i'm recording i have to adjust the recording level at the beginning of each recording,lol,pretty lame,but thanks again for the wanted input.

Mad props for resurrecting the alpha-punk rock anthem !

Its been years since I played that tune but as a PiSt0Ls
archivist I think the F to E part is done in open D formation
further down the neck and there is a momentary G / riff
after one of the verses .
I also found when palm muting the C , hit it twice then
lift yer finger off the D string and hit it open with the rest of
C chord for one beat/repeat.

If you can get hold of Chris Spedding sessions with Steve
Jones you'll be blown away by how really guitar oriented
these songs started out being.

Steve, What happened to your Blues songs? I don't critique other peoples stuff. I don't care care to break things down and nit-pick each part. I either like it as a whole or don't. I like how you mix it up in the music that you play. I think your headed in the right direction with your playing by learning and playing different styles. Some people when learning the guitar tend to focus on one style or genre of music. Learning and playing different types of music is what makes you a better player and helps you develop your own style. Personally, I blame Eddie Van Halen for my tendency to noodle a song to death.

Howlin,does not suprise me that your down with punk rock it's esentially rock n roll stripped down to its basics and then injected with speed and fun, your a true rock n roller my man.

Bubble Punk, where the hell did you come from?lol, never seen you on here before?, i seen that you noticed i was playing in more of a lazy fashion and your right about Shedding and Jones, its weird that alot people don't know that they were pretty much the sound and ones putting the songs together, it's usually Rotten this and Vicious that, they were only key in the image and attitude of the band.

Mike,thats prety messed up that your Texas Boogie didn't win that contest,must of been a tight competition.Hope your still rockin that tune somewhere,and as for my blues songs i had too clear some space for that Cheap Trick song.I agree with you about not being confined to one genre.it's a shame when there is so much good music out there.Personally i like to learn as many styles of playing as possable,i mainly like playing punk rock for the energy,fun, and the non analness,lol, music should always be fun first, if not, whats the point.Rock on amigos!
