Aside from a few minor technical glitches our first gig with Guitar Tony was a smashing success. One of the truly greatest disc golfers who ever lived was playing a hole a few hundred feet from where we were jamming and he told me it was like being in disc golf heaven: blues, beer, barbecue and disc golf. Got nothing but good compliments. What a cool gig, so laid back and enjoyable. Need to do more of these. Later...

It's when you swing your club too hard and pull a disc out of place...at least, that's how I always played it...

Golf, I think they should put two T boxes opposite each other and fire off ball at each other while attempting to get a hole in one. Now that would take skill.

Disc golf is an organized sport started by people who started throwing frisbees at objects in parks over 25 years ago. People created all kinds of different skill games with the original Frisbee. One of the games was accuracy. Let's see who can hit that fence post over there. After that let's see who can hit that rock over there. After that let's see who can hit that car tire in the parking lot, etc. etc. Somebody got the idea of laying out a course and it evolved into a frisbee golf course. Now it is a very well organized sport (there's actually a professional disc golf association-PDGA) with specially designed golf discs and tournaments all over the world. There are numerous professional disc golfers and thousands of amateur players all over the world. Someday we hope disc golf will become an Olympic sport. Compared to golf we are in our infancy. Check out the PDGA website or some of the disc golf manufacturers: Innova Champion, Discraft, Lightning, etc. They all have websites. It is an amazing technical evolution for such a young sport. By the way if you start playing disc golf you may become a "plastic " addict. It's not a very expensive sport to play. The vast majority of courses are FREE to play, that's right I said FREE and you really only need three discs to start. They have drivers (long range), midrange, and putters. They sell the less expensive ones for about $8 each. The most expensive ones cost about $20 each. Later...

Sounds like fun. We used to play a game we called ultimate. That was in the 70's early 80's before everything was "ultimate" Was a combination a frisbee soccer of sorts. Rough game. Non stop running.

LOL

I don't know. When I used to swing my club too hard, it usually resulted in a slap in the face. Ooops... I was swinging too often on too many courses, that's why! LOL

JK!!! Always been the faithful type of guy!

Disc golf sounds like a blast.

Bob...are you one of those guys that jinxes everything? "Will it last?" Who the hell cares if you're having a good time with it for now. You're in the process of seeing if you can get along with this guy. The 1st gig went well. Things are looking up, & you are fretting about it. Chill out & enjoy what you have going on, man! Can't spend all your time watching & waiting for the axe to drop...it'll make you mad!

Make the music as good as you can for as long as you can. You gotta trust the guy in order to see if you can trust him. Sounds like everything's going along just fine.

Once you've played a few gigs & started to get a reputation, it will be a lot easier to replace him if it doesn't work out. Other players will hear about you & get interested. Look at it like that.

Wish I had something new going on. DIBBITZ!

Craig - are you dreaming again? Swing your "club" indeed! LMAO
