I found this really cool second version of Mudvayne's goodbye!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDF0EmS4cdo&feature=related
Check it out!
I did a cover of this song and posted it on my profile not too long ago, for those of you who don't already know.
I think this version kicks the original's ass.
what do you think?

I like your voice better.

Dude, you should really start focusing on writing your originals. 'Cause your voice kicks major ass.

Damn man, it's too bad we don't live near each other. The 2 of us in the same band would kill!!

If you ever want to try doing one of those online collaborations, like Jimmy and Neanderpaul did, I'd be down..

That's the song hunter.
Shred, what all did you do on that song?

I have a different idea for it. It's just a thought, but I'm always fascinated by "what ifs". In other words, what if it was a completely different song entirely. Lyrically.

If The Hunter hasn't heard it before, then it can be something completely different. Since no 2 minds think alike, I always wondered how someone else would perceive the riffs and interpret it.

It doesn't mean I don't like Burn, it's just a thought, and I think it would be interesting. But if The Hunter has heard it before, then the idea doesn't work.

I have a couple of acoustic riffs on hand that would be cool. I'd have to re-record them. Or I have a recording of just the music for Burn..

I just think that would be a fascinating experiment.

I took Burn off my profile, and I'll put just the music up so you can hear it.

Removed the One Day Broken version?

That's OK, Shreddo,

I took the liberty to record it to cassette! (still sounds great) Gotta go work on my own version of "HOUSE of the Rising Sun " now, Sure wish I knew some decent guitar player around my neck of the woods who could help me out with building the staircase! Right now i'm working on the infloor radiant heat system, so I'd better go to it.

As Fisherman Bob says,

LATER.....

I'm not exactly sure how it works. I'll probably put something up on a Myspace page and allow it to be downloaded.

Since we're both singers, it might be cool to bounce whatever it is back and forth a couple of times, so either we're trading off verses, or doing backups, or both.

I'll go ahead and leave the lyric writing up to you. If I write them, my band is gonna get all weird about it.

If you want to do a cover of Burn, I'll put the song with the singing back up. But I can tell you, it's a challenge. You need to have a higher register, and a fairly descent scream. It really requires that you belt it out. The last guy who tried to sing it, blew his voice out every time. He was using his voice wrong to reach the highs.

Neanderpaul could sing it. He has a natural high register, and great control of his voice. One wrong move, and say goodbye to your voice for the next 3 days. But I wouldn't worry about that with him. Hey Neanderpaul, the offer goes out to you too. Anytime you want to cover Burn, let me know.

Just remember there are strict codes on those stairs Howlin. It's more extensive than people think. It might be good to just hire a stair company to do the work. I know it's a chunk of change, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.

Right now I'm getting ready to remove about 1/3 of my 40-year-old-tree from the ground. We had strong winds around here, and I lost some major branches. Talk about wanting to cry..

Cool man!!

Bridge Lyrics:

Don't forget your leash
I hope it chokes you
And drags you underground
So I can watch you
Burn

Not sure if you knew that or not, I get asked about those lyrics all the time.

Shredd,
Luckey for me, The Commonwealth enacted universal codes AFTER I obtained permits to build "Rising Sun". (Grandfather is a good word in more ways then one!)
