She's really good.

Power? Not the best I've heard, but good.

I saw Alanis Morisette in a large club right before You Outta Know went thru the roof. I was impressed not by her vocal abilitys but the way they conveyed her emotions. I told my wife that she was going to be huge, and a few monthes later she was. I think any singer whether technically gifted or not that can put emotions in their tracks is worth listening too.

Laughed my butt off. Was Yoko a SINGER? If I ever created a picture dictionary I'd use Yoko's picture as the definition for the following words: atonal, cacaphony, & annoying. I certainly could use Britney Spears in my new picture dictionary. I'd have her picture be the definition for the word irrelevant. Later...

I heard her do 'Straight On' (unplugged), and I think it raised every hair on my body. Just awesome. I never really paid much attention to Gretchen Wilson before, but my eyes have been opened.

I second:
Ann Wilson
Patsy Cline
Karen Carpenter

I like madonnas tone :)
And Stevie Nicks just did it for me. Her voice is toast now, but in the old days... mmmmm.
There have been a few that weren't actually great sngers that affected me greatly. -- Like Sussy Boggus. Something about her tone I guess.

I really can't stand Stevie Nicks voice. Christine McVie however melts me and should NEVER have been left off my favorite list. An absolute angel voice. Her song Songbird inspired 2 of my songs and I sang that at my buddy''s wedding.

Paul, Thanks for the Barracuda video. I think I have a new favorite Les Paul player, Nancy Wilson. Still looking good after all these years.
