Got a new cover uploaded to my profile, to your left. Worked on it for an hour to be honest (including finding the backing track).
Anyways, Brits might know this one hehe. Lemme know what you think.
This is After All This Time originally by Simon Webbe (a Brit neo-soul singer)

Lyrics:

After all, the broken stones
That were thrown, for no good reason
Inside, she's loving him still
After all this time
And though her heart bears the scars,
No sign of healing, It's All right
She's loving him still, after all this time.

Oh yeah

Trying to push the past away
Still waiting for the lights to change
Try, try for the sake of their pride, pride
Learning to barely feel the pain
Thicker the skin the less the strain
And though it's really hurting
She ain't breaking, breaking, breaking
'Cause she's loving him still, after all this time

Now he knows his weakness shows
Selfish soul, never changing
That's fine, because she's loving him still
After all this time

And to the outside eye
You see a family getting by
And it all seems perfect, and that's how she wants it
'Cause she's loving him still, after all this time.

Trying to push the past away
Still waiting for the lights to change
Try, try for the sake of their pride, pride
Learning to barely feel the pain
Thicker the skin the less the strain
And though it's really hurting
She ain't breaking, breaking, breaking
'Cause she's loving him still, after all this time

After all this time..

Bones have to grow, and age it shows
Though we try and hide it
Inside, she's loving him still
After all this time

And behind his tired eyes,
she sees the boy with his arms wide
Who made her feel like an angel
Oh that's why she's loving him still
For the rest of her life, she's loving him...

Peace.

Your vocals remind me of Jeffery Nothing from Mushroomhead.

I think you should record them differently, though. I think a stereophonic sound would be better.

Mushroomhead? That's a first.. don't know if that's a good thing or not, but for the record, I don't like em
Stereo.. yea the final forms of these songs will be in stereo.. but After All This Time is in stereo. It wasn't mixed though. Just recorded the track, then the vocals, and a few effects, and bam!
Thanks, I guess.

Have you ever tried using a condenser mic with a pop filter? I've had excellent results with that. Perhaps you could benefit as well.
I like Mushroomhead. I meant it as a compliment. I just like Jeffery's vibrato. You reminded me of him. Mushroomhead's music is unique, but It leaves alot to be desired.

Matter of fact, I am considering buying one. I'm leaning towards a Shure M58 (or something). Which one did you buy?
And thanks, I appreciate the compliment :D

Liked the way you sing bro, but the overall sound left something to be desired. Bet you would do great on some hard rockin stuff.

I just use the ones off of my BR 600. But it depends on the sound of your voice. Go to your local music shop and test some out. I've found that more money doesn't necessarily mean more quality when it comes to mics. Whichever you are happiest with is the one you should buy. Remember, these are studio mics, not live mics. You'll be looking for compatibility and quality. good luck! :)

You defently have great vocals, especially for rock in any form.I am pretty surprised you haven't landed in a band yet,but no doubt it will happen soon, rock on hombre.
