Down at the bottom of my song list I added a short jam of Going Down. The playing's a bit rough, but it's a good demo of the tone of my Silvertone, and Supro with the guitar going straight into the amps without effects. A bit of reverb was added later[/img]

Great job. Really bluesy!

Good thick tone from that amp and axe too.

btw... pisses me off that you have a song called "Tremolo" :-) We have one called "My Tremolo" which I'll have to post one day, about falling in love with the Tremolo bar. Ours is really rockin' with the lead guitarist literally TORTURING the whammy bar all through the breaks.

LYRICS:

My Tremolo © 2007 Craig Maxim & Gary Esslinger

Now, there are some who'd say
I was born with a pick in my hand
I played those strings till I bled
Night and day, to be a guitar man

Now I love my Les Paul baby, That's a fact
But one day I put it down for this Fender Strat
And that's when this little metal arm just took control
And I played it slow, And it shook my soul

------- CHORUS --------
My Tremolo
My Tremolo, Oh Yeah
Baby now, watch me go
On my Tremolo
-----------------------------

(LONG BREAK)

Now, as the years went by
I learned to tame that beast inside
I'd play some rhythm and blues
Maybe a little jazz on the side

But every now and then, that itch just gets too strong
I return to my addiction, and God knows it ain't long
'till I'm reaching for that whammy bar, and bendin' those tones
Cause when I play it slow, It moves my soul

Ok,

Couldn't help myself, I posted a live version of "My Tremolo" but it doesn't do it justice. The room is filled with wailing guitars when we do this song. It's really raw. But it will give you an idea of the song.

Sounds good to me too !

Some years back I was in a trio with drums and a guitar player who used one of those old vintage Silvertone amps. (I handled the bass with my left hand). The first time he showed up at a gig with that amp, I must admit that I was more then a bit apprehensive, but I miked it up and my fears were soon quelled. Sounded excellent, just like yours!

Just curious Dax, did you hook up with a band yet?

Not really J. I've done a bit of jamming with a couple of different sets of musicians, but it seems that every band that answers my ad has a rhythm guitarist, and is looking for a lead player. I really prefer just a single guitar lineup.
