LOL...look who's teaching guitar now :D Go for it GA

All I can do is reinforce what everyone else has already said, it's all about the 3 P's...

Practice

Practice

Practice...

OK there's a 4th P actually,

Patience...

I've been sick for a week, haven't played at all, my fingers are gonna hurt when I start again...not looking forward to that, but I'll do it, no other way to get back in shape...

Yuor b major was a minor. That B is a A position Bar chord, not A minor.

Now using a B7th was the only way I used to play a B at first, no barring involved. F chord is tuff just keep at it, and work on the B's too.
It'll come.

Some Elixer strings can make it easier on your hands too.

Oops, Lol. You are right, Blair, sorry about that, now I just learnt something.

PaleoPete, yeah, I am trying to teach, just got to work on those chord names. Lol.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

B Major:

e----2--------------------------
B----4--------------------------
G----4--------------------------
D----4-------------------------
A----2-------------------------
E------------------------------

Once more, bar the chord with the side of your pointer finger.

I have to chime in that I recently purchased a complete set of training cds just to go back to the basics of playing guitar. After all the years Ive played I kind of get into a rut. SInce Im geting ready to start gigging again, I just need a fresh perspective. I would recomend taking lessons no matter how advanced a player you are, cause theres always more to learn.

I am contemplating lessons, JW123. I might, I might not. But, it would be cool to sit with a Jazz guitarist, learn from them. I notice I have been straying from Metal towards Coldplay... Jonny Bucland is like Jazz influenced, so I have become similar, Lol.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.
