Thanks Sans!

He'll work out just fine. And I'm sure your praying for us had to have helped in all this! Thanks again for that too!

No prob. I enjoy speaking with our Father in behalf of others. All I ask for myself is patience and moral strength. The two things I lack most in this life. Keep Rockin!

Meant to put a disclaimer...

Freebird - We literally only went through this song twice at practice before doing it at Down the Hatch. We used to have a band rule that we would NEVER do this song, so none of us have tried to learn it. We changed the band rule because we ended up faking it, while backing up a solo artist one night to help them out, and since technically, we had already broken our own rule and since everyone asks us to do it at EVERY gig, because we do alot of Southern Rock and Classic Rock style music, we decided "what the hell", we may as well do it ourselves, if we are going to jam on it with other artists.

I posted it, cause this song is not the easiest song in the world, once it gets into the fast part.

I thought after only going through it twice, we did a fair job.

We're going to actually start working on it now, and have it ready when people request it. So, the mistakes will be much less once we actually spend some time on it, but hey, not bad for the first time doing it as a band.

On Freebird you can hear Mike murder the lead at 3:00. LOL

It's all my fault. I made him play with a slide to get the right sound, and he's not used to it yet. LOL

But he makes up for it with some awesome lead work afterwords, where the song builds. He shredds pretty good. We're lucky to have him. Sings well too. We did a cover of "Home Sweet Home" by Motley Crue, and he does a good job on lead vocals.

I would say I'd post it, but I can't seem to buy any comments on the pics or songs lately. LOL

SOUTHERN MISCHIEF! WHOO!!!!! If I am ever around anywhere you guys are playing, you definitely can count me in! You guys are good, Craig. Lol. Great job on Free Bird, especially with so little practice. That song use to be hard to me, now it might be a joke compared to some of the other stuff I have played.

But yeah, that is absolutely awesome. I am listening to "Fly" now, you guys are great musicians. I love the vocals, man, awesome.

Peace out and good luck, I see a good future for Southern Mischief!

Craig,

In the picture where your leaning back, is that a bucket of fried chicken?

Is that your new bass player? I always wanted one of those Ampeg acrylic guitars and your bass player is playing one, too cool.

One thing I learned in music is never say never.

Our band is one guitar and the guys where saying I needed to thicken it up a little so I got one of those Jam Man loopers, its like having a band in the box.

Yo, Craig: Man looks like ya'll was having a big time dude. (and chicken)
Your drummer looked like he was having a blast as well. And what about that V guitar, retroisity, Ive had my eye one one of those bad boys for a couple of weeks. What manufacture is his axe?

Sounding good, Craig. Your hard work is starting to pay off.

Lemme guess - the chicken bucket is a tip jar, no?

You look like you're having fun, & that always helps get through to the audience.

LMAO!

Hey, I'm a big guy, but a bucket of chicken on stage? LOL

The club had someone send a bucket of bottled waters up for us.

I thought that was pretty cool of them.

Hey JW,

You nailed it bro. Acrylic bass (looks cool as hell) and that Ampeg stack is vintage. 8X10 on the speaker cab. It's loud as hell and a nice rich tone.

And yes, that's our new bass player.

The drummer has only been with us two weeks, and the bass player one week. Brother, it's almost scary what we could sound like with 6 months of practice under our belts, tightening everything up.

I think we have a really good group of musicians and performers together now.

Craig,

I'll never say "FREEBIRD SUCKS" again! Great vocals on it.
Listenin' to it made me thirsty for a Guinness.

Southern Mischief STILL ROCKS! (so do Ampeg SVTs)

wish I was there

Thanks John.

And hey, hopefully one of these days we'll have worked our way up there. I'm giving this a good 2 years, to see if we can develop into a full time touring act.

I still believe!

Which, btw, (I Still Believe) is also the name of a kick ass song I am finishing up right now, about following music as a dream and keeping the dream alive. I can't wait to record it. You guys are gonna love this song!
