You guys are a trip! I know for awhile we let no woman or girl friends into studio or recording sessions. But you know you get a little older and alot wiser and you realize its the insecurities of the brothers in the band that make idle audiences feel like they need to interfere. Tell the woman they can come only if they bring beer! That will help separate the little girls from the woman.

Its not so much that women or ladies ruin bands.. but relationships in general put a stress on a band. Because here it is... "Why am I always 2nd place to your band and your music !" And that does it.

Generally you meet someone who is understanding that you love music.. love to play... its in your bones.. your blood.... and then as things get more and more serious, they want more from you. Its human nature. Its a not a slight, its just how it is.

90% of the time, a serious relationship will interfere with your involvement in a band and it will force you to make a choice. Kinda sucks but thats how it goes. ........ just my 2 pennies worth.

If my old lady can put up with me for +25 years. Well I dont see no problems for the band.

Yep. That's what I meant about a woman being more jealous of time than of another person. Time that isn't focused on them.

We actually tried that over this last winter by letting the women be in the control room and run the board and the computer, but as it turns out, none of them like each other enough to be near each other for more than 30 minutes. Women seem to have a problem with each other in general much more so than men do and that's a fact brothers. Any project starts out with "no problem hunny, go and have fun", then turns into "every Saturday you guys are recording and stuff and I'm just sitting here", then you try to involve them and get "well I don't like so and so because she's a bitch", then you take off a Saturday and get "I know you don't want to do something with me anyway", then "just go hang out with your stupid buddies", then you're screwed all over again and not in a good way. Please save us because the cycle repeats! At least that's been my experiences...

Hey...if it weren't for my wife, we'd still be a garage band! She books all the gigs.... does all the advertising... all the artwork (graphic and web designer)...Here's 2 of her pieces that get thrown all over the internet and all over NY:



She makes all the phone calls... helps replace band members and a helluva lot of other things and don't get 1 cent for it... meanwhile she has a full time job and 2 little boys and me to take care of. Gotta admit, we are the laziest bucnha fux ever to form a band... if it weren't for her, nothing would happen... all the other wives/gf's of the other members get along just great.. all works out fine and dandy! .
