Oh man, City of Angels...that song from it sung by Sarah Maclachlan (In The Arms of The Angel) is on a thirty minute rotation on my wife's LaunchCast!

The sound track from Blade Runner, by Vangelis. Really somber mellow tones.

Jeepers, just about anything by Vangelis. I also dig his tracks for "Mutiny".

Never heard of it, I’ll check it out.

It’s strange I don’t usually remember specifics in movies. Who said or did what and when etc. But that one scene with the bright gold sunshine pouring through the blinds of the tinted office window, reflecting off the polished marble floors and that owl flying by. When the wailing sax starts in, it’s just so close to perfection. I’m just real glad I caught those few minutes. Something about the way he meshes the sounds, they just melt into the next. If you’re into Vangelis, hopefully you have heard the whole track, it’s so intensely moody. In my opinion, Chariots of Fire sounds trivial in comparison.

Hey Irminsul are you familiar with Jean Michel Jarre? I don’t know if I said this before, but in Past Filmore, that break at about four to a little over six, the style reminds me a lot of Equinox. Really well done, excellent ambience.

Wait, I got it wrong. The film was "Bounty", sorry. My head isn't working right...I've been editting 40 pages of string quartet music and I'm fading.

I love Vangelis's soundtrack to "Blade Runner". Probably my second favorite soundtrack all-time. Right with that I'd put Cliff Martinez's work on "Solaris". Etherial - brilliant work. Like a character unto itself in the film.

My favorite, though, is the "DUNE" soundtrack. I love what Steve Lukather did; it's an amazing piece of work.

That was actually done by a collaboration between Brian Eno and the band Toto. And you're right, it's a fantastic work.
