Looks like it could work for Sgt Slaughter's theme song, too. I'd offer it to him, anyway, & see if he wanted to use it. Might make you a few bucks.
When I have to do a new song that worries me lyrically, I slip a page on the monitor, with the 1st few words of each line written in thick Magic Marker. That always helps me, just to have those lil cues.

Yes, I quite agree. The soldiers on the front definitely need stuff to boost them up & get them excited about the things they are required to do.
I also think it's a good thing the armed services are doing now, namely, giving the soldiers time while they are still serving to calm down & reorient themselves into polite society, rather than just bring 'em home from the front & dump 'em on the docks waiting for thier family to pick 'em up like they used to, at one time.
My ex-student was talking about how they had to watch every single person over there, keeping a weather eye out for the bad guys who blend into the crowd so easily. When he got here, he went to a mall. He described sensory overload while trying to watch everything & everyone at once. It really shook him. It's hard to understand that, for those of us that haven't experienced those things.

It's good for its genre...I'm not really into Southern Rock that much.
There's something about your live sound...guitar tones? I dunno...can't put my finger on it....maybe I'm waiting for a keyboard wash in the background...I don't think it's the recording quality or the mix, but something...I'll hafta listen to it some more & get back to you

Have you heard my song "Coming Home" on our MySpace profile? In some ways it's similar, although much less about war itself, than a family dealing with it's aftermath. It revolves around a father's last advice to his son, before going off to war.

I must admit, that dot caught MY attention. Seems our dear Ol' Georgian boy was wrigglin' like a nightcrawler on a fishin' hook for awhile.
