just jammin' off the cuff..no prep.. no rehearsal.. it changes daily.. LOL..each time something new emerges..LOL.. shooting from the hip.. :)
this is in the vernacular a "laundromat stomp" LOL featuring Faron Camp on acoustic guitar and Dane Allen playing electric guitar on a Sunny Saturday afternoon at the Bolivar Laundromat (3/3/2018)

not far from the Simon Bolivar statue LMAO. Bolivar, Mo. LOL :D 8)
since I know how important equipment is to the jocks here..LOL.. the gear used was a Yamaha acoustic guitar, a Fender Nashville Power Telecaster with Fishman power bridge..and a VOX MINI-3 battery powered 3 watt modelling amp ..and I think I have said it before how much I love that amp.. :D

now...after listening to the spontaneity and cleverness of these tunes being played you might start to understand why we pull in money tips, and other compensation.. the Tascam DR-05 did not really do us justice as far as what we really sound like but it gave you a picture..no more comments please from the peanut gallery, that Faron and I provide an inferior quality musical content.. even had a dude how I did that "one lick".. I feigned stupidity and said which one? LOL.. what pissed me off is the AA batteries run down at 13 minutes and the better stuff was the next 25 minutes..that is when we got into our blues set.. :D

Glad to hear you out there getting it done. It warms my heart to see that Vox is back. Astonishing how 3 Watts can get it done.

A friend of mine won an Orange 15 watt head and we blew it through my Marshal speakers and it was great. Don't know how those little ones can crank it out so loud.

cheers

Good jamming there, but are you clearing more than a handful of quarters in a few hours? Busking at a laundry puts me in mind of the people I see in front of Walmarts on Saturdays trying to collect money for their school baseball/cheerleading/band team. Think about it - people go to Walmart because it's cheap, because they want to save money, because they need to spend less money. Why not try to get money in front of high-end stores where people with more money shop? Target, Kohls. Macy's, etc.
So I ask you - why busk at a laundromat? I understand that Bolivar is a sleepy little 'bedroom community', and doesn't have a big downtown where people are constantly flowing by (I imagine everyone drives, just like my town). I wouldn't busk in my town, either, knowing this. So unless you guys are there doing your laundry, why not find a better place? It looks like you're just 10 or so miles away from Springfield, which due to the colleges and larger size there surely has better places to busk.
Or if not there, why not ask the big supermarket across the street from the laundry if you can play out in front on the sidewalk?

Mike, the swap meet just opened this past Saturday, but it's too cold for us yet..waiting for warmer weather and both of us are contemplating playing the American Legion.. thing is, weak or no vocals stifles the opportunities possibly? we have never hunted or scoped out gigs but both Faron and I especially Faron loves the idea and concept of busking.. he got me started believing in it too.. you are not at the mercy and whims of the bar owner or the bar patrons.. if they dont like it when busking they simply move on..at swap meet there is a continuous flow of people walking this way and that and we always seem to find some appreciative listeners that tip us..swap meeters seem to bring out a set amount of money to spend on Sundays and I assume if they are not finding that one great deal then they consider throwing some portion of that money into the case or jar.. :) Guitar Mike if you were closer you could join us..if you liked..
