Gee, that sounds a lot like you're asking me to write a chart. Is this the same forum where folks regularly give me plenty o' shat when I ask for charts? The irony is not lost on me...

But I'll do so, if only because I can. Besides, it's an indispensable asset/skill for any musician, at any level. ('Scuse me while I step down off this here soapbox...) Actually, this might be a good time to try MuseScore. Both Jook and I were playin' around w/ it some time back, and it looks like it could make the process much easier--and produce charts/scores that can easily be transferred via computer. If I write anything out by hand, gotta scan it and all that. Allegedly, MuseScore will score as you play it. Dunno how it works w/ other instruments, but since many digi-pianos (like my Korg) are basically computers that send computerized signals, it should work.
Planetguy wrote:i'm all for the pass-around thing.....but another thing we might do instead, or in addition... is for whoever wants in..... takes your progression and does their own thing w it.
we've done that in the past..... my Em7/ Bbmaj7 bit comes to mind. Mike and Jook came up w some really cool, and different takes on it.

I have no prob w/ that; it's not like I submitted anything to ASCAP or BMI. Do whatever you want...as long as it sounds exactly like what I had in mind. (Sorry, couldn't resist it--HA!) Really, do whatever you want; that's what jazz is all about.

Hey Schmeddy, did I actually send you NF? I remember we talked about it, but can't remember what I did. Bein' an old geezer has its limitations...

All day rock n roll shows

I know you've been to some

yeah, i think that comes w growing older.... hopefully wiser...and DEFINITELY punier! i try to haul around as little as need be to get the job done...a small lightweight bass amp or an easily manageable FENDER Deluxe. It's bad enough that in the PJAZZ trio lineup that most of gigs are in these days, i'm toting two gtrs (gotta have backup), an electric solidbody mando, percussion table, AND a vibraphone!

damn, i hate it when the drummer is packed up before me. :x

That video was pretty good, you all rocked. Love the bass.

But dude, shorts? Aren't you supposed to look cool when playing an old Fender? :)

Bite me, MT!

You know what, I gave up trying to look cool yrs ago! And after my dance w cancer a while back, it REALLY became "my comfort comes first". We filmed that on a super hot day w temps up in the high 90's and after filming that in the nice air conditioned studio at Stephens College Columbia MO we were off to a backyard BBQ gig.

Thanks for checking the vid, guys. and thanks for the props. 8)
