No, I do not think YOUR MOJO is compromised. Clearly, you're incapable of reading and understanding the English language. I said that a Telecaster's MOJO is compromised when it plays something other than country. I never said that the guitarist's MOJO was compromised. That would be silly.

Ask your Telecaster how its MOJO is after being forced to play something other than country.

However, I will also acknowledge that installing humbuckers on a Telecaster, whether done as a custom mod or Fender doing it at their factory also screws up Telecaster MOJO seriously. If God wanted Telecasters to have humbuckers, He would have told Leo to make them that way in the first place.

Next thing you know they'll be making set-neck Telecasters with double cutaways and humbuckers. No wait, such an instrument already exists. It's called a Gibson (or Epiphone) SG.

well an Epi SG just happens to be the other guitar i have, but once i bought the Tele Deluxe, i only want to use the SG as a gardening implement, so shows what you know pal.

1. Humbucking pickups didn't exist when the telecasters first came to be.

2. SG's have a 24 3/4" neck vs. the 25 1/2" of a tele....that's as big of a difference as p/u's and neck mounting method.

"MOJO" is in the eyes and ears of the beholder. Jazz gtr great Barney Kessell was on some talk show back in the '70s (Merv Griffin I think) and was patronizingly asked about his "jazz gtr". He pointed over to the piano on stage that had just been used w his quartet and said...."Is that a 'jazz piano'? When you have a classical pianist playing... does it then become a 'classical piano'?"
