Hey Kel,

Check out BLUE CHEER! (Vincebus Eruptum is the 1st and best IMO)

I was into them heavily, but definitely, not exclusively back around 68!

They are nothin' less then the progenitors of Heavy metal as we know it.

Yeah , I know the Cream and The Who And the Jimi Hendrix Experience, (all formidable power trios, singers don't count here) , predated them by a few years, but when my ol' "Lost Minds" drummer and myself first heard the Cheer blastin' out of the ol' 58 Corvette tube powered radio, It was like the "clarion call' of a new age.

My ears are still joyfully ringin'

Got me started,
Howlin!

I saw Blue Cheer last year, wow were they loud. Lot of old-time bikers and rockers of all kinds there.

I must have missed this one. Great stuff! I think the tempo is just fine. Throw some lead in there and bam!

Thats funny as hell Mike, not the musical commentary just the way you stated it. I had an old Namie highschool football coach (great guy) he'd always yell "bam" or "boom" at the end of a sentence when he got a little carried away. Was funny as hell in health class I and another guy were 12th grade in a classs full of 10th grade girls. He'd be talkin bout STD's and sh*t, yellin "boom ya got crabs" or something. Me and Rodney would laugh our asses off. We got sent out of class on "errands" more than once and have to run laps after school.

Hey George,
I'd be more concerned about catchin' bugs from those hats your buyin' at the second hand store then getin' 'em from those sweet young Texas girls!

Scratching' & Howlin'

Wow, now the subject shifted to crotch critters. Metal has been in my blood since th late 70's. I 'm not too keen on the new Metal ( Cookie Monster vocals...ect.), but at least their is more variety in Metal since when it first came out. :)

LMAO @ "cookie monster vocals!!"

I couldn't have said it better.

I must admit to kinda liking that Disturbed guy...he's got an interesting style, but I can see it getting overused...like David Lee Roth's cruddy lil squeal or Billy Idol's weak lil scream.
