i'm an old schooler. my first rap/hip hop tape was LL Cool J-Radio... i grew up on stuff like NWA, Geto Boys, Master P, Dj Quik...

the state of the genre today, as far as mainstream is concerned, really bugs me... every song is about the same **** over a different beat or it's about som gimick dance or Lil' Waye having every kid in America thinking they're a Blood now...
more: nhạc chuông hay miễn phí
it just really bothers me... especially when there are underground artists like Jelly Roll, Young Worm, Haystak, Brabo Gator...

i mean really, what has the hip hop/rap world come to???+

Hip Hop came to a crossroads in the 90s where it could have taken the high road and provided more stability and longevity for all involved and of course.... It took the low road. And then gloated about that fact for the last two decades. I hope the good stuff can reestablish itself, but not likely if you're honest with yourself.

Consider a defining moment in Rock'n'Roll history, "the day the music died". Three top performers lost in their prime sent the industry reeling. What was the cause of their early demise? They got on a plane headed to their next show and got caught in an ice storm.

Juxtapose that incident with the defining moment in Hip Hop. The deaths of Tupac and Biggie. Gangland shootings. In the name of? Killing each other.... "Just because he insulted my mama/ walked down my street/ talked to my baby mama".

Hip Hop needs desperately to get itself out of the gutter, but loves living there too much to lift a finger towards that end. Sad state of affairs, given its influence over so many people in this country who need to focus on positive thinking and staying on the path to success.
