sans...walk softly & carry a big stick...it's cheap, easy to find & legal to carry just about anywhere.

Archery's quieter...works great when you don't wanna spook a whole crowd of ppl at once.

Other option...buy from old ppl ready to kick da bucket...no registration! Who wants the powers that be knowin' whatcha got anyway!

I seriously doubt that anyone will be able to take away our guns in my lifetime. That's all a buncha humbug made up by the NRA & republicans to keep the dems from winning anything.

Yeah, it happened in merry old England & Australia, etc., but I ain't askeered!

I am a rocker and I am independent. But there is no way I am voting for McCain (Or Obama for that matter).

Craig! I know you are out there, I know he is a patriot! I think he was a great soldier, I just hate his politics! Lol. So do not kill me. :|

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

Look at the 30 year old law in DC against self defense. Laws against teaching martial arts without a federal license have been introduced into congress. In many states you must vacate your home in face of criminal invasion. The law abiding citizens of New Orleans were forcefully disarmed in their homes by the police, against the Constatution. These same police ran like cowards from the armed gangs on the streets.
It can, and is happening here in bits and pieces.
I am The NRA!

By taking this attitude you are basically saying "I don't have a strong opinion, you make up my mind for me". You're 19 now, time to exercise your rights and vote.

Yes I think most of us on every side of these political threads can agree. Vote!
PS. On my above post. Please note that many of the firearms I, my wife and lots of other Texans own, hunt with, and shoot in compitition or for pleasure will now get you prison time just to own in California. This has taken place in a span of just a few years. You cannot trust a goverment that does not trust it's citizens. The first thing the National Democratic Party did in Germany in the 1930's was outlaw the private ownership of firearms as a means of reducing crime. After they gathered up and burned the guns they did the same to the Jews. ( they also instatuted nationalised health care)

Not surprisingly (well, not to conservatives) crime went up EVERY SINGLE YEAR BUT ONE, since DC passed that law.

This is the kind of thing I meant when I said that liberals often have good motives, but like children who are naive, they often leap before they think.

The DC gun ban is a PERFECT example of this.

All I can say is get out and vote!

Review the candidates and vote with your heart.

As far as guns go, I like the old saying "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns." I guess when the times come I will officially become an outlaw.

Its funny the other night some friends and I were out to eat and guns came up, and everyone there was totally against guns. Someone asked me what I was going to do last sat and I said my son is shooting trap, on a school team no less. It just freaked some of these folks out that kids were shooting guns for school.

the goal of voting is not to put someone in office, but rather to convince the government to put someone ELSE in office...this is why no one is ever satisfied with the candidates, because you're always going to have to pick the lesser of two evils and hope things go your way...furthermore, if every civilian in the united states stopped voting, presidents would still be elected by the government...so what rights do we have as people if we have to pick between two shitty choices and one of those shitty choices will be picked for us anyway? it's controlled democracy...the two party system enslaves us into this "us vs. them" attitude that forces us to vote AGAINST the candidate we hate the most, not FOR the one we believe in the most

As the saying goes, use it or lose it. If you don't exercise your rights, they will be taken away from you, and not just the right to pick the lesser of two evils. Our system is not perfect but it is still the best on Earth so figure out which candidate is the closest to your views and support him/her!

Besides the "guerilla" tactics that we used in fighting England, one of the reasons we were victorious in the American Revolution, was that our "youth" were better marksmen than most of the British military were. Their supplies were heavily limited for gun practice, to save money, whereas American youth were used to handling guns well for hunting for food, without such restrictions. They were good shots. Some of the British wrote home about this situation, bemoaning the fact that even our children were better shots than many of their professional soldiers were.
