Uggghhhh, ok just got screwed by eBay.

Need a leslie simulator, you know a boss rt-20 or digitech rpm-1 or anything at all along those lines.

I have a leslie 147 speaker cab, but it's too big to drag around.

Come on people, I know someone has one lying around gathering dust in their pile of effects, be a sport and sell it to me.

Don't know what to recommend, or where to find one, but I can advise you to avoid the Dan Electro "Rocky Road" which is supposed to be a Leslie simulator. I was given one and it has two major problems.

1. It has a really bad design which causes a harsh, unacceptable distortion if you turn it up just a little. This must be fixed by way of a minor odification, which only involves a short wire about an inch long and a bit of soldering, but it shouldn't be an issue in the first place and if you don't know how to solder...I do but many guitar players don't.

2. It sounds a lot like a chorus or flanger and nothing like a Leslie...after the modification has been done. I till use mine, since it's a kinda neat sound, but it's nothing like a Lesilie at all.

LOL Funny you should say that, I found a sound clip and it sounds like sh*t

No, the only good ones are the Digitech RPM-1, Korg G-4, Dynacord CLS-222, Boss rt-20, Line 6 roto machine, multivox full rotor and a few more. Point is I can't even find one.

That Rocky Road is a true pile of crap, but coming from daneelectro, what did I expect.

Because of my Rocky Road I won't touch any other Dan Electro pedals, I figured they were el cheapo deluxe just from the looks, but this thing removes all doubt. Plastic...they expect a plastic box to hold up with me stomping on it for 20 years like my Ibanez SD 9 has? The buttons are crap, you can't tell if you're stepping on the switch or not, it's about the diameter of a dime and maybe 1/8" tall, not much there and you have to really mash it, and with two buttons no more than 1 1/2" apart, too close together so half the time I hit both instead of just the one...

Bad design all around, el cheapo plastic construction, horrible electronic glitch right out of the box, I won't even look at Dan Electro pedals again. This one was given to me, OK I'll see if it can be used at all, but I would be pretty upset if I paid more than $2 for this piece of garbage. I hope someone at Dan Electro is reading these...

8) I use a univibe and it has worked quite well. Of course there is no real sim of a Leslie because that works off of the doppler effect which cant really be reproduced electronically because your really just bendig a wave rather than getting a bounce from surrounding surfaces |The Univbe is very well built and can be used for vibrato or chorus. I really like mine but its not the same as that 500 lb. Leslie|! :P

Have you checked into what you are saying before you wrote it?

Ok, now have you heard a korg g-4? How about a digitech rpm-1?

You haven't the faintest idea, jr.

I have a leslie 147.

Not entirely true, as the doppler effect is produced by the rotation of the horn, and is actually the easiest parameter to model mathematically. It has nothing to do with any surrounding objects......those reflections will be the same regardless, as they are a feature of the room you're in. I was pleasantly surprised by the digitech rp-300 rotary feature, as it is pedal-controlled, and sounds every bit as good as the Roland dedicated rotary pedal, for about 1/4 the price....plus it's a full-featured effects pedal.

Anyone ever heard of a ROLLS RPM-1?

I just got one for free and was curious to see if anyone knew anything about it. I looked online and in my usual haunts and only found a schematic.

Anyone ever heard one before in action? Rumor? Anything?
