I would really like to mention that normally I play around with this stuff on guitar. But since I do not have a mixer or mic, you get to enjoy the garageband versions.

Plus I am Not a drummer, I believe the drums sound like sh*t on the one demo. Need more intensity.

Demo's sound very electronic / processed but I like the tempo range your shooting at. Dont be afraid to go ahead and post your work in progress. I have found this site to be a good learning tool. Many more accomplished and experienced musicians than newbs like myself but these ladies and gents will share an honest insight. And that is what we need.

Im curious how do you generate the sound. It kind of sounds like a video game or something. Nothing wrong with that, but Im probably not the right person to comment. I guess the important thing is just getting something recorded.

When I read the profile I was expected heavy low tuned sludge guitar tones.

Posting audio is a good thing and a positive step in demonstrating your skills. My advice is that the selection Demo, is the inferior of the two. I would advise arranging it second on your player. A potential band mate would be more apt to be attracted to the more refined version, and they may have a short attention span and not bother to listen to it.

Well I have to say I prefer the demo! lol Not to be disagreeable, but it sounds less techno to me. No offense if that's what you were going for! But the tune sounds good! Just my 2cents...

Garageband is just a simple program I used to make my "demos".
There is not a single recorded instrument on the tracks I have made.
ALL INSTRUMENTS ARE DIGITAL - I am no sound engineer, hence the "TECHNO" sound.

But this is the best I can come up this so far to show people what sort of stuff I like playing around with.

There is some good free recording software you can download off the web and there are many places with free backing tracks you can download also if you just want to show your skill level or for practice. some of my stuff was recorded using a cheap Radio Shack mic. Just mic up your amp and record.

Well if the headphone/out jack on your marshall is like normal headphone jack size, you can go to radio shack and buy a double ended
cable, plug it into the 'line in' or external mic jack on you Mac, and you'd be good to go.
On your computer, go to Preferences/Sound there is the option for line-in, internal mic, etc. Whichever way you go, just click the appropriate one.
And if you just run the clean channel on your amp, Garageband has several guitar sound/amp simulations that you can use.
