I can suggest a title: "Not Ready for Memphis"

Blew into town
On a freeloadin' wind
Looking for trouble
A magnet for sin

Wow. 7k views last sunday...today, 8k 47 and counting!!!! Thank you so much for all the love and support. I've got more music and pics on the way. Keep it up everyone. Don't forget to call and/or comment. I'm as real as you are so let's get into some good music.

Warning: There are BM musicians?? on my forum posing as a band. They are blocked so I can't see what's being posted, but let my assure you these individuals have no reason other than shameless promotion to advertise any music on this topic. They are in no way affiliated with me. Do not respond to them as they may use you as a ploy to continue to harass those who are here to strictly wish to be informed of myself and my plans to bring other musicians and vocalists together. Again, they are not part of this forum. Please ignore their stupidity. Thank you. Stay tuned.

Rich, my man!! Cool track!! One down, 4 to go!!!
Gentlemen, choose your weapons!!!

Mike- you're in the band dude, like it or not!!! We can't do this w/o you!! :D
Tell ya what - if you don't have time, I'll write the lyrics and I'll even sing the damn thing but you IN the band, man!!
Memphis1 says so!! We can't let him down.

Well we've got 1st verse, some more suggestions?

Suggestion: rather than everyone just layering their track ON TOP of the existing one, - sure, do this for reference, but provide separate instrument tracks too (Dropbox or any other file share space). I find trying to do the 'layering' method results in a very loose mucky sound overall. That's why I don't even try to participate in these projects.

good job there, RG....i was hoping for something in more of a "soulful" groove.....not to say that what you came up w AIN'T cool. it is. t my ears it has kind of a "parade march" vibe to it.

i hear a lot of different ways this can go but i'm also thinking that since there are to be vcls....we oughta keep things pretty straightforward and not get too weird.

a super easy way to go along those lines might be to go w something as simple and straightahead as a blues form.

if there's support and agreement w that.....i'd be happy to lay down some rhythm gtr as the next bit.

if so.....questions:

major or minor?
what key?

If you don't like the mix, we'll do it all uncompressed and let you put the finishing touch on the sound. And good grief, man. We aren't publishing this stuff so what the heck about overall sound quality anyway?

exactimundo, Jookey Mano!

i also don't have the equip, time, nor patience to align a bunch of different contributing trks in time.

we should all strive to attain a good clean mix, yes.....but this isn't meant to be some long lasting piece of art for future generations to appreciate! :D

I was thinking the same thing (synchronicity again). Blues in E maj.
Don't want a dark mood. Needs to be uplifting and inspirational!

damn synchronicity!!!!

i was actually thinking "A" cos i have a little signature hook i'd like to use that ties in well w the drums....but then.....i'm not singing it.....and if mike is unhappy w how we're talking about approaching things vis a vis individual tracks that can later be edited.....he might want no part.

no judgements here, mike...but i do know you to keep your projects CLEEEEEEAN.

if mike bails that might make Jook our de facto singer.

so.....how's about the key of "A" for this ditty? could that work....or should i lay it down in "E"?????

IMO, collabs work as a layered approach if you're not into super squeaky clean polished music to begin with. Want a perfect track, good luck with that.

I am just full of surprizes "or something" .

The beat is a blues shuffle with a little hard hitting tejano fills.

A couple of fills are spaced a little different "do the count" so the lyrics are short, punchy and to the point.

I my mind "while playing" I hear about 5 key changes in a systematic rotation.
